How I Started:
Well I've struggled with my weight ever since my second child so it's been an 11 yr battle. One day I was talking to a girlfriend from work and she was telling me about her husband and that he was competing in bodybuilding competitions, i was like - no way - we talked more and i saw some of his pictures and then found out that the gym he worked out at was just down the street from my job. so i contacted his trainer and started right away. I then entered a physic contest the local gyms in the area were having and I have lost 26lbs from that contest and now i have the fever :-)
Why I Love It:
I love feeling strong and when I'm in shape I feel better about myself and have more confidence. I really want to be fit before 40 because I know it only gets harder.
How I Stay Motivated:
My trainer keeps me motivated and so does seeing the results. My kids also motivate me by always complimenting me and telling me how good a job I am doing.

Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
Because cardio can get pretty boring so it's to have someone with you that shares the same goals and keeps you going.

Ok so I just started yesterday eating very clean, I got my diet from Tiffany Forni as a starting point and it is very hard.  Anyone else out there eating every 2 hours, basic lean protein, brown rice, veggies?  Also drinking a gallon of water a day.  Between all the water and eating every...

I love your idea of showing progress pictures on trying to fit into smaller size jeans =) I have a some that are two sizes down that I can't even get past my thighs! lol But you've motivated me to take some pictures and hopefully see some progress along the way. =)
