I use a logbook at the gym and when I get home i transfer it to bodybuilding.com's workout tracker. Yes
Why or why not?
It adds a layer of support, so that if you don't want to go to the gym, then they'll remind you and make you feel like going.

What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
Change your routine every 3-4 weeks. Your muscles will get used to the same old thing and get bored with it. You'll plateau and not be able to make any gains.
