When I Started:
Dec, 2008
How I Started:
I really started when I was 10 years old, along with Tae Kwon Do. Trained like crazy until I was in my 20's. Then university, work, and a new baby took over. Just started back after a 6 year hiatus!
Why I Love It:
I just feel good. I look like a human should, and I do it totally naturally - well, at least totally LEGAL!
How I Stay Motivated:
When I was young, I was very small and I was a target for bullies, and not exactly a 'ladies man' haha. So, I learned to fight and the size came later. Suddenly, no bullies and lots of chicks! I just think of that. And any girl that says they don't care if a guy has muscle or not, THEY'RE LYING! They love a big strong guy.
BB Accomplishments:
Several years ago I had some good maxes. Bench 350, Squat 495, Deadlift 455. Getting back to that soon I hope! And other than bodybuilding, I was second in Atlantic Canada at the Battle of Champions (martial arts tourney).

I want to get down to 220lbs before May, bench 300 and get my legs back.
Goal (Long):
Ok, the long term is to bench 400, and get my squat and deadlift back over 500 where it used to be. My goal weight is 205lbs. I want to achieve all of this within the next 18 months. Shouldn't be a problem.

So I was at a party last Saturday night wearing one of my tight Affliction shirts that happen to accentuate muscle quite well and some girls walked in. One of them looked at me and said, "Hoooooly s$%t, you're f-in huge buddy". That felt good. haha. I notice that when I go out too,...
oh yeah, i m back up to twelve pullups now. my best is 13. i m pretty pumped about that. my goal is to be able to bust out 30 in a row before next year. im down to 230 now so i think that helps a little. i got up to 250 last winter, not muscle. my problem is that i love to eat and im not always motivated to work out
sorry it took me a while to respond. my training is going very well thanks. i am getting noticably stronger. my bench is still weak but im up to press n the 95 pounders now. im tryn to switch it up between the dumbells and the bar. i also threw dips into my workout. i am comming closer to closing the #3 hand gripper too. how about you? u making gains? your arms look pretty big in the pic
how s the wheather in Canada anyway? we just got about 8-10 inches of snow here in mn. im ready for spring, but the snow looks pretty cool on the trees
tha'd be cool if i had forearms like popeye. i also wanted to know what kind of supplement you take. protein?creatine? any new products out that are interesting? what do you think is the best? right now i am taking 100% whey protein
that 315lb bench press FAIL vid was hillarious...he's lucky he didn't get hurt or anyone else standing near him either... I don't think i've ever seen anyone with worse form...
Hey Chad, my name is devlan and i just joined a gym about two months ago. i worked out in my garage before that, but i live in mn and it gets pretty cold in the winter, which sucks in a garage without heat. i was just wondering if you have any good forearm workouts. figured i would ask. u seem like you know a lot about weight training
