Background

When I Started: Feb 2004
HOW I STARTED:

I was crushed when a boyfriend during college informed me that the reason we would not continue to date was because of my weight. I went overboard and started to starve myself, and threw myself into cardio daily. A few months after that, I started to see progress and it then became about me. Since then I have lost 40 pounds and have become a new person. I have come to love this lifestlye...I eat, sleep, and live it daily!

WHY I LOVE IT:

I am addicted to the runner's high I get when I find my stride in a long run, I thrive on the intense feeling of my muscle reaching past its perceived limits to heavier weights and longer reps, I smile when I can do things in the gym that most guys can't and most of all I love waking up in the moring with a better perception on life!

My Motivation Program

I find a great source of motivation through others. I can read, look at pictures and/or conversate with people who have the same goals, desires or achievements and I find the extra adrenaline I need to push myself. I am a full time personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Seeing my clients reach their goals is the ultimate high. Makes me want to push longer, harder and stronger.

Bodyspace....scary!

I have been avoiding getting on bodyspace, or for that matter even visiting bodybuilding.com in the last 3 weeks because I have been slacking. Each time I get on here I reminded of my goals and aspirations, but I am also reminded that I need to get on the ball and sometimes thats a hard pill to take. So I decided instead of avoidng it, I am going to visit as often as I can and really engage myself. It was the whole reason I got on here in the first place. To create accountability. If I am not being accountable to it, it can't be accountable to me. So plan on...

Lessons from a puppy

I am probably a little biased, but I am convinced I have the cutest puppy in the world. She makes me smile each and every day and I wouldn;t trade her for the world. I got her when she was only 5 weeks old and it has been quite an adventure learning to train and nurture her the way she needs to be. She has taught me numerous lessons; far too many to begin to list.
