My Workout Philosophy View My Full Workout Program
Just trying to get cut...
Right now I am doing insanity froM start to finish (60 day plan plus recovery week) every morning as soon as I get up, always on an empty stomach. Breakfast is usually some sort of protein bar or fruit. I lift every other day, always after eating clean carbs. I do all sorts of routines because I love to mix it up. However, I always repeat a strict back biceps and triceps routine, as well as abs. I always do extra back biceps triceps and abs exercises on training days that are of a variety separate from my routine.
3 sets of 15 of each, then 1 set of 12 with slightly heavier weights:
Rows
Kickbacks
Deadlifts
Lateral pulldowns
Seated lateral raise
Tricep extensions
One arm tricep extensions
(I place my main concentration on abs and biceps)
Concentration curls
Hammer curls
Preacher curls
Standing curls
Seated incline curls
For chest and shoulders every other day...
Bench press
Shoulder press
Incline shoulder press
After all of that I continue with various cardio- mostly the same combination of the bike, treadmill, and elliptical. Then I continue with various free weights and weight machines. I always finish in the gym by running another mile, doing my ab routine, and a few minutes of jump rope. I immediately hit the locker room for a serving of protein and a piece of fruit and most of the time a powerbar recovery bar.
Out of routine my favorite exercises include road biking, hiking, swimming, and mountain biking; all of which I do as often as possible (cycling almost everyday, swimming 3-5 days a week, and hiking/mountain biking at least once or twice a week {weather and season permitting of course!!})
I am taking the 120 capsule bottle of super HD Thermogenic fat burner by cellucor, 1 pill 2x a day every day along with 1 vitamin (women's ultra mega active by gnc) at the same times everyday. I drink blox during weight training and am finishing up n0 extreMe before most weight workouts or before insanity if I wake up really tired. I always drink 1 scoop of super sport protein by cellucor immediately following weight training or any intense ab workout
I am always looking for new ways to stay active and/or challenge myself!!!!!
I feel that I am fairly strong and athletic, but I strive to become leaner, tighter, more cut. Really my final goal is to just "get shredded" but I want to spend the rest of my life in constant search of new ways to challenge my body and fitness level, always growing and transforming physically, mentally, and spiritually through bodybuilding.
