When I Started:
Apr, 2009
How I Started:
I had a doctors appointment one day in March and was weighed in. I knew I had gained weight (none of my clothes fit anymore and I was eating out of control) but I didn't think I had gained 20 lbs! I made a promise to myself that I would never let this happen again and I would whip myself into shape.
Why I Love It:
I love the rush of endorphins, the satisfaction I get for finishing a difficult set or workout and of course how it makes my body look.
How I Stay Motivated:
The way I feel after a workout, the compliments I get and the way my body is transforming is motivation for me. I also stay motivated (and yes I do realize this is mean) by staring at the fat dependent wives at the pool or NEX. I never want to let myself go to look like that!
BB Accomplishments:
I completed a 300 workout in 27 minutes :)

This was taken at a party when I was my heaviest. I had a 33' waist and 48' hips! I ate everything and anything (ingesting over 3000 calories a day) and worked out minimally.
I'm a naturally curvy woman. I have hips that will never go away and I tend to gain my weight in my stomach and thighs (hello saddle bags) if I stray from my routine. My goal is to keep my body trim, gain muscle and keep my lower half in proportion to my top. I'm trying to achieve my goals by eating clean 5x a day and regular cardio and strength training (6 days a week). I hit a plateau a few weeks ago so now I'm working in circuit training and plyometrics in my routine.
Which pro bodybuilder/fitness/figure competitor has the ideal physique? Why?
Jamie Eason! If I could have those abs and her thighs! I started to read Oxygen magazine because of her.

What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
Kim Karsdashian...love her curves and she still remains feminine while she stays fit.

What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
On work days I get up at 4am to go workout...so you know I need motivation! LOL. My motivation is every time I look in the mirror...once you get results, that all the motivation you need!
Monday-Interval training, leg routine (I tend to focus on my glutes a lot because I lose my butt when I lose weight). I usually do lunges (front and reverse) 3 sets to failure, deadlifts (40 lbs, 3 x 12), step ups (10 lbs, 3 x 10), plie squats (25 lbs, 3 x 12), lying/standing cable kick-backs...
