When I Started:
How I Started:
I have always been athletic and active, but I stopped being consistently active and started eating far more when I went to college and then graduate school. After the summer of 2006 and a summer internship that involved free lunches and dinners every day, I was my heaviest ever. I was the unhappiest I have ever been as well. Since then I have lost 20 - 25 lbs, and I'm finally ready to challenge myself to lose 25lbs more and become as fit as I know I can be!
Why I Love It:
Who doesn't love endorphins? I love the feeling you get right after you pushed yourself a little further than you thought. I enjoy when my girlfriends call me freakishly strong. I can't wait to feel more connected to every movement I make through weightlifting and exercise.
How I Stay Motivated:
Haha - here's the difficult part -- I don't!! So, this is where you guys come in - Please help. Some motivational tools I use are: list making, daydreaming, trying to keep the right foods in the house, and going off of how my clothes fit. For the most part though, I have serious motivational and peer-pressure problems!
BB Accomplishments:
Training for a 1/2 marathon (even though I had to withdraw for a knee injury (ITBand for any runners) . . . the rest - to be announced! :)

She knows that fitness is not a short term goal, that sometimes you have to give up a little delciousness to look a little deliciousness, and damn, she looks good.
I read once before that ending and beginning new relationships, moving, and starting a job can all help cause weight gain. Recently, I became a case study in post-life milestone weight gain myself. I can, after having lived the last few months, understand why it is so easy to gain weight in...
