When I Started:
May, 2009
How I Started:
I threw discus and pole vaulted in high school. These two activities really impacted my knowledge of lifting weights beyond what I had to do for track. In college I lifted occasionally even though I studied Sport and Exercise Science. I was a personal trainer for about 16 months and still only lifted occasionally. I was the type that knew alot but had no work ethic or dedication. I do now though!! I am very focused and have set specific goals for myself, first being to learn how to be reliable in the promises I make to myself. I am super motivated and hope to transform myself and maybe compete one day!!
Why I Love It:
I honestly love to see what I can do. Its not about the feeling I get, even though it does feel great. It is about seeing the weight go up on the sides of the bar.
How I Stay Motivated:
Surrounding myself with information right now. I have been looking through all my old Hers and Oxygen magazines (some date back to 2006!) before bed and getting on here during downtime. The other part is just doing it. When my alarm goes off at 5am, i just get up. Before I could hit the snooze for an hour if I didn't "feel like it" that day. Now--- feelings aren't relevent!
BB Accomplishments:
None as of yet. Many to come I hope.

Goal (Long):
The first goal is the one I set in January. I would like to be able to do a full flexion hand stand push-up in the middle of the floor (no wall). This will require strength, weight-loss, and balance. It seems to encompass my overall health goals.
I went to the Europa Super Show in Dallas pre-judging an completely caught the bug. After years of trying to be 'skinny' and hating my thighs, I saw gorgeous, beautiful women and they had my body type. I have a long way to go but I know that in 7 months I can get there!!
What type of nutrition plan are you currently following? Give full details.
Eating clean. Currently I am doing about 1800-1900 calories a day to fuel muscle growth. My calories will very based on my goals. When I really want to add bulk I will go for more like 2200 calories and lean up 1400 calories. Eating clean. Currently I am doing about 1800-1900 calories a day to fuel muscle growth. How has bodybuilding and fitness helped or hurt your relationship?
I taught him how to lift from the ground up literally. We started with proper form on a push-up, it took awhile. Currently he is really supportive. I think he hopes that this will not be a quick to fizzle out fire like many of my other endeavors but I am proving to him that it is not.
