When my husband was in Iraq the first time (he's there again now), I started running because I wanted to be able to run with him when he got back. I got stronger and faster and loved how I felt. And I surprised him when we went running together! Then I started adding in weight training and got hooked. I'm still addicted two years later!
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel strong. I love to challenge myself.
How I Stay Motivated:
When I don't feel like working out, I watch movies or look at magazines or books with pics of women with great definition. It pushes me on. I have a pic of Monica Brant on my fridge. :)
BB Accomplishments:
I don't compete. I'll just use this space to say something else. I appreciate all the comments.. I just want to remind all the men that I am happily married and not here to hook up or flirt. I'm here to learn only!
Forum Signature:
Work harder. Lift heavier. Take chances if you really want it. How bad do you want it?

This was taken about the time I started learning about weight training. I always had such skinny arms and shoulders, and wanted to change that.
What supplements do you take immediately after your workout? Why?
Sometimes I take L-Glutamine. It really helps with recovery and muscle soreness. I usually go home and eat a good breakfast right after my workout. If I can't, I keep some food in my gym bag.. things like tuna, rice cakes, nuts, boiled eggs, cheese, etc.Sometimes I take L-Glutamine. It really helps with recovery and muscle soreness.
