When I Started:
Jun, 2006
How I Started:
When I met my husband 9 years ago I started gaining weight. I could not take it off no matter how hard I tried. After having my son I lost 35 pounds but then my dad got sick and passed away. Two years later I woke up one day motivated and determined not to get to 200 pounds. I started working out and eating better. I lost about 35 pounds again and hit a plateau that is when I started counting calories. I lost 17 more pounds then tried to maintain. I quit my job and found another one then started two jobs, gained 8 lbs and stayed there. When I got back down to one job I had more time to work out and I found this site and started weights, and eating clean to go with my cardio and I am already down 5 pounds working on about 6 more. I would love to lose body fat and gain muscle!
Why I Love It:
Keeps me fit and healthy! Sets a good example for my kids.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stayed motivated by switching it up all the time. I am also scared to death to gain it all back plus some. This site is full of motivators, wonderful people who love to help!
BB Accomplishments:
to lower my body fat % and gain muscle

casiebeachanged Weight from 123.6 lbs. to 122.8 lbs., a 0.8 lb. loss in 6 days
I have lost almost 50 pounds in the last 3 years and my goal is to maintain what I have lost and lose even more fat. I feel I have extra fat on my belly and thighs and once I am comfortable with those I will start to do hard core lifting...but that is another goal.
He motivates me to get off my butt and hit the weights hard. He has also helped a lot with my workout routine. He is inspiring because he has come so far and that makes me think I can get to my goals.
He inspires me because he is doing this for his wife and kids. To live a healthy life for them so he will be around for everything. I lost my dad a few years back and I wish he would have taken better care of himself so I could still have him today.

That sounds like a great idea. I did the same thing myself over the summer to help rehab my right knee. It worked well, I just didn't have that good of a diet. Hope u have a great weekend!!!
Wow, my job is similar to waitressing, but I'm a pharm tech. We don't get to sit and we're pretty much always moving. That sounds like you did a lot awesome!
Sorry to hear that, have you tried glucosamine for healing or chondroitin for pain relief? This time of year I ache quite a bit, so I really feel for you!

I am pretty much recovered from my war with a bad sinus infection, big test is tomorrow night's gym session -I'll be doing Spin or Swim, which takes more out of me than lifting. Has your wrist sustained injury in the way back when, or is it something new?
