When I Started:
Jun, 2006
How I Started:
When I met my husband 9 years ago I started gaining weight. I could not take it off no matter how hard I tried. After having my son I lost 35 pounds but then my dad got sick and passed away. Two years later I woke up one day motivated and determined not to get to 200 pounds. I started working out and eating better. I lost about 35 pounds again and hit a plateau that is when I started counting calories. I lost 17 more pounds then tried to maintain. I quit my job and found another one then started two jobs, gained 8 lbs and stayed there. When I got back down to one job I had more time to work out and I found this site and started weights, and eating clean to go with my cardio and I am already down 5 pounds working on about 6 more. I would love to lose body fat and gain muscle!
Why I Love It:
Keeps me fit and healthy! Sets a good example for my kids.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stayed motivated by switching it up all the time. I am also scared to death to gain it all back plus some. This site is full of motivators, wonderful people who love to help!
BB Accomplishments:
to lower my body fat % and gain muscle

I have lost almost 50 pounds in the last 3 years and my goal is to maintain what I have lost and lose even more fat. I feel I have extra fat on my belly and thighs and once I am comfortable with those I will start to do hard core lifting...but that is another goal.
He inspires me because he is doing this for his wife and kids. To live a healthy life for them so he will be around for everything. I lost my dad a few years back and I wish he would have taken better care of himself so I could still have him today.
He motivates me to get off my butt and hit the weights hard. He has also helped a lot with my workout routine. He is inspiring because he has come so far and that makes me think I can get to my goals.

Sorry to hear that, have you tried glucosamine for healing or chondroitin for pain relief? This time of year I ache quite a bit, so I really feel for you!

I am pretty much recovered from my war with a bad sinus infection, big test is tomorrow night's gym session -I'll be doing Spin or Swim, which takes more out of me than lifting. Has your wrist sustained injury in the way back when, or is it something new?

Sorry you've been in a funk, but things could always be worse. Testing I had done to sort out numbness/burning in my limbs was inconclusive, which means there is nothing so wrong with me that I need an operation. I'm back to lifting and I'm feeling very energetic!

I hear that!! At least that way, you control the calories. I am thinking of maybe shepherd's pie. Haven't made up my mind yet!! Well, I am going to get off here. Got to go do my workout. Have a great evening and we'll talk soon!!!
That's cool!! Mine just plugs into the wall. I am getting ready, probably Monday while I am off to make my garage the home gym. It will be the workout place for the weekends!! How has ur day been going?
It was a good thing to use. I had to get rid of it though due to the frame started cracking. So, I gave it to my father-in-law who fixed up for the mother-in-law to use. I went out and bought a treadmill afterward. I use a crossramp and elliptical machine at the gym. How often do u replace the batteries?
That is great!! I know you will reach that goal before then!! Animal cuts is really good. I may start that back up myself. I am right now trying to do it naturally. What is ur workout for today?
