I started lifting in high school but got back into it last fall. I had a real stressful job and it helped my keep my sanity. It's cheaper than therapy.
Why I Love It:
It's the one time of the day when it's all about me. The rest of the day it's all about work, family, relationships, etc. When I work out I push everything else out of my head and focus on the present.
How I Stay Motivated:
I got rid of the medium t's. XL, here I come!

Its kind've blurry, next time i'll be sure to get a better shot. Looking pretty puny, little arms no pecs, abs look alright though.
Not a whole lot of progres in size although weight has gone up about 8 lbs. I little more definition in the back than before. Arms look a little bigger. Pecs still tiny.
I was way too jetlagged yesterday to workout. I managed to get in some quick cardio today. Felt pretty good even though I hate cardio. I found a gym that has decent rates and I will hit it up tomorrow.
hey man hows it going? i had to start my how plan over because of a car accident i had a few months ago...but im about to start this 22 week program so ill let you know how it ebded this november
It really depends on where you will be in Indy. There are Cardinal Fitness location ALL over the city now so I know you wouldn't be too far from one of them. Let me know where you are staying and I'll get you some locals.
Hmmm...Cardinal Fitness is good. There are also a few Lifestyle Family Fitness gyms around as well as Lifetime -- not sure about rates though. There's also a Bally's in the area. Just depends on which part of Indy you will be in. :)
Good luck!
really they are all pretty good IMO. I have been to most of them in the kansas city area and all have been reasonable. The YMCA gives you 3 without any bothersome people trying to push a membership on you, 24 hour fitness has a 7-10 day free pass ect...just look up the closes gym and go for it no one will give you problems
Depends on where you are staying. Cardinal has sites all over the area, can get in for $10 a session. Golds is east side, far northwest side. LA Fitness is south and north.
"Cardinal Fitness" has a ton of locations in indy. You can go in and tell them you're just trying it out and workout for free. I'd try that out for a few days. I guess it just matters what side of town you are staying. But yeah, gotta hit they gym. Travel is no excuse!! haha.
