To me, motivation actually comes from getting older. Looking and feeling better now than I did in my 20's is all I need to stay motivated.
I believe that we all take working out for granted sometimes. In dec of 2011, my brother in law stepped on an IEd in Afghanistan and lost part of his leg from the knee down. by all accounts he should have been killed. After rehab and a few prosthetic fittings, he has completed 2 Full marathons to date. every time I start to feel lazy about a workout, I think of him and others who have been injured-some of which may never be able to step into a gym ever again. My motivation used to be simply to look better, which it still is, but now I will never take working out for granted again
