Background

When I Started: Sep 2011
HOW I STARTED:

Cut out all fried foods and desserts. jogging lead to running..just signed up for first 5k in January in Houston.

WHY I LOVE IT:

The feeling i get when i see the weight dropping and muscles building and body looking and feeling better.

My Transformation actually started in the fall of 2009.  At 337#s I had taken a job in Afghanistan.  The requirement was that I was below a BMI of 40.  I had to lose 40 pounds in 4 weeks to be deployed.  I did it on a drastic diet and tons of cardio.  I went from 300# to 265# and floated in that range for the next 2 years.  After returning to Afghanistan from an R&R in September 2011 at 287# I created my Bodyspace Bodybuilding.com and started my transformation... End of the 12 week Optimum Nutrition Challenge

I am almost back to my pre R&R weight of 248. I told myself i wouldnt put too much weight back on when i went home, but the foods and drinks i dont have here sabatoged everything i was working for. Since i was home i am down 16#s and 3 #s away from the 248 again... When i reach 237# i will have lost 100#s from my heaviest in fall of 2009..i am up to 3 miles a day running and hope to do 4 miles a day in April.. Diet is good and supplement plan is progressing to help burn fat and build muscle....The waiting game to see the scale change is the hardest part..I Track every day and night my weig...

jcloonan Noticed your motivation level dropped pretty significantly on my dashboard, thought I'd check it out. Dude, if you want motivation, look at your own before pics! You've lost a HUNDRED pounds. That's amazing! I'm about 6 weeks into Gethin's transformation myself, and I'm excited about the 13 I've lost. If you stick with his diet, lifting, and cardio plan, you should see those last 40 just about melt off. I'm certainly seeing results. Good luck! Apr 29, 2012 7:47am

finagetfit You should try the Dymatize Elite Ambition Challenge 2012. Deadline is end of this month to enter. I think I'm going to enter it on April 29th to keep me motivated and prepare me for a live contest in October, if I decide to enter (not sure yet). It will be 2 years now since I did my first live competition in October. Just needed to add some more muscle to my frame as well as getting more lat width which I think I accomplished but would still like to approve. Gooed Luck with your goals. Apr 21, 2012 8:12am
