Overall Goal: Originally, I was fine with transforming my body. Now that I have reached a level that I am satisfied with, and now that I will be competing in my first bodybuilding contest on 9/27/08, I want to build more muscle, enter more contests, and place big.
Fit Status:
I'm pretty fit. Ran 3.9 miles on 6/12/09 in 43 minutes. 1st run in approx. 1 year.

When I Started:
Jan, 1983
How I Started:
I was always interested in health and fitness. I started working out in health spas in 1983,then transitioned into hardcore gyms in 1988.
Why I Love It:
I am very vain, so vanity plays a part of the reason. I also love being and feeling healthy and I love the way the body transforms into a work of art.
How I Stay Motivated:
I just look at many of my patients, my friends, family with weight/health issues or who look old before their time. I look at the general public who could be classified as obese. Then I think of Tina Turner, Angela Bassett, and Janet Jackson. That's enough for me.
BB Accomplishments:
I'm entering my first Body building contest on September 27. Under the guidance of my nutritionist, I now weigh what I did in my 20's. I see muscle definition I never saw before.

Goal (Long):
I will be competing in the Natural Northern Michigan Bodybuilding contest on September 27. It's my first competition. I like what I see (pictures to follow), but I want more muscle. I lost a lot of it while dieting for this contest. I plan to build on what I have.

OK guys! I have decided to go for another contest. I started my cardio yesterday, I purchased my supplements today. Today, I went back to the gym after a 3 week lay off. The thing is dancing (Detroit style-ballroom and Chicago Step) has become just as important. Maybe the dancing can be...
Currently, I'm preparing for my contest. I'm 10 days away. I'm just hitting the gym continuously. Next week I was told to only concentrate on my upper body and to refrain from training my legs. I'm not that strong these days, so I'm concentrating on weight that will challenge me and using this...
Curry isn't too bad if you don't pour alot of the curry sauce on your food. The sauce is all coconut milk. I eat it with a plate (or two) full of rice or noodles swimming in the sauce.
Hi, I can relate to you. Generally in order to build mass on your legs you have to lift heavy, I this point my leg press is 3351lbs I never thought I could do that. Because you have such large muscle groups in you leg you have to go heavy. But make it a progression
