Wanted to change my answer to the question of do I workout from a reluctantly embarrased "No" to a chuckling dead-panned "Not at all, why do you ask?"
"Mens Sana in Corpore Sano." Sound Mind in a Sound Body. You can't have One, without the Other.
Plus, I seem to get a charge from challenging my "limits" in all aspects of my 'reality', hence my inevitable journey into the Land of Iron. (Yeah, Buddy!!!)
Why I Love It:
Not one negative aspect about it (Update: Apparently some consider a borderline Obsession a negative...)
Lowers my stress threshold, i.e. "Turns down the volume" on life's difficulties.
Maintain the same waist since High School, makes every shirt in my closet look custom-made. (Ha!) Update: Now finding the right size pants AND boxers is becomin' a sumovab*tch of a challenge.
More importantly, besides food, it's another aspect in my life where I have 99.9% total influence and control.
Bonus: Being able to be consistent or surpass last week's max weight/rep is an incredible affirmation that you can take guilt-free satisfaction in!
How I Stay Motivated:
Use EVERY trick in the book. Constantly read and reread mags, websites, ask question from the 'experts' @ my gym. Watch videos (Yep, I even have Pumping Iron stored in my MP3 player!)
Just as important, I talk shop and swap stories and motivate/reciprocate with my closest buds and online friends.
This is why I know I'll reach the next level with the Bodyspace community.
UPDATE: Started training @ Gold's Maxx to surround myself with like-minded zealots.

I just have a cheap silicon wrap on mine to protect it from bumps and scratches. I just keep min in my pocket. The P3 is on its way with a much upgraded user interface.
Hey, my name is ben. I've just recently gotten more serious about fitness and I was wondering if you could give me some help on my diet. Maybe a sample of your own, or some tips.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Ben
And this is why I don't trust the workouts of the pros in magazines. Ha ha, in MD he's never said he's done anything that crazy. That must have been a flex article or something.
Ha ha, I don't see myself doing all of that though and thats just because of the leg extensions. It does sound like a good way to break someone though. Hhhhmmmm
Thanks.
Aaaahhh man.
And I was just looking for something to do HIIT wise that didn't involve me doing something redundant. Or a new way to torture my legs without squats.
Ha ha, if I could hit up on on IM, I'd be congratulating you and giving you all types of craziness points.
*tries to figure out where to insert that into his weekend and still be able to walk worth something*
Man, thats my fave exercise period and thats only because its evil but not as evil as the squat. I wish I trained forearms directly but I don't.
Ha ha, you got kids staring at you nowadays. Geez, yeah you are doing something right. Ha ha, they probably freak out seeing a dude bigger than their pops too.
Its fun though.
