When I Started:
Jan, 2007
How I Started:
I battled with my image and weight while also juggling medical problems. After 3 knee surgeries and multiple nights in agony I am learning how to listen to my body and prevent injuries.
Why I Love It:
The rush I get from lifting and training. The constant pursuit to be better than the day before.
I have battled with my weight and body image for as long as I can remember. At 160 pounds, it was too much. I have to take back my life and appreciate my body and treat it like the temple it is. When I was younger I had eating and body issues, and did not appreciate my health.I now want to show everyone how healthy, muscular and beautiful my body can be.
I want to gain strength in the weight room while preventing and without aggravating injuries.
I have adapted some athletic track and field training into my workouts because it is so much closer than the gym. It was difficult! I found that while I can go on a stairmaster for 30 minutes, running bleachers for 5 rounds killed me! It is an EXCELLENT realization!
Oh you are in SB now? What made you move down here?
I workout at my work gym on North 1st; it's pretty decent and I have access to a bunch of group sessions.
Your latest pics are cool; keep doing your workouts; you look awesome!
(I'll check out dragonfly - need to get one too).
Cool! I'll watch out for your new photos.
I've just been too busy with work and travel the last few months and couldn't find time to be here. I have been trying to work out though, but need to get my intensity and frequency up to past levels.
THe knee is starting to feel awesome now. I just finished a four mile run tonight and did 500 jumping jacks afterwards. Being young is good sometimes :) We heal fast.
Hey you, If you want a V, you will get a V! Just keep doing what you're doing.
How are the workouts going?
I've been out of the BB scene lately (yes, because of work) but have been trying to keep at the workouts at least.
