When I Started:
Sep, 2006
How I Started:
I've been active since my track & field/cross country days in high school, in addition to basketball and a general love for being active and the outdoors. I struggled with anorexia as a young teen and from there strove to learn to lead a normal, healthy life while maintaining my figure [I don't have the best genes!]. Through years of trial and error I finally learned the dos' and don's' in regards to training and nutrition when I befriended one of the personal trainers at my gym. Since then I have gained a great deal of knowledge as I've gained experience as a professional in the fitness industry.
Why I Love It:
It keeps me healthy, strong and with confidence. I physically love the liberating and independent feeling I get when challenging my muscles and body...mostly because I challenge myself in all other aspects of life already. I love being able to feel and look as strong on the outside as I am in spirit :)
How I Stay Motivated:
When I'm training I prep myself with: "COME ON B!TCH" hahaha... on a serious note:
Fitness is a way of life for me in and itself. However when I am pushing myself during my workouts, I think about all the struggles I have been through and all of the elements that have tried to keep me from achieving my goals throughout my life. Then I think about all the people who are fighting for their lives and who are less fortunate, and it is almost as though I am "fighting" for a better world for us all. This creates a deeper relevance of my training.
Aside from the spiritual stuff ;) ... I find motivation in other strong, fun-loving women in the industry, and my idol is Monica Brant (like most of us!)
BB Accomplishments:

Description: My sister made this cute little video from the night show at NPC Sac. Short, but cute. The woman on the left in the light pink suit took first, I took dead last ... ?

They who work out hard are tired. They who are tired go to sleep. They who go to sleep do not sin. They who do not sin go to heaven. So let's all work out hard and go to heaven!
Easy to say when it's the truth. :) Especially when you're doing it on your own as much as you are. Besides that, I guess I can say... feel free to read the blog I'm keeping (off-site, couldn't get this on-site on to work) and chime in with comments?
Hey, I think they folsom and stockton are bout the same distance from me both about 2hrs. Thats is def a good idea we should branstorm a bit. Haha its funny cause I am naturally a very simply person (or at least I like to think so), but very few of the shoots I have done thus far have incorporated a lot of as you say cheesiness, lol. So, I def think I can get into that mode it might even come more natural. I think like you said we would be a good pairing. I'm excited for at the idea.
Hey GORGEOUS!!! Look at that avi..you are smokin!!!! I'm kickin ass in the gym, but my diet has been sloppy so I'm definitely softer than I would like...the holidays are a killer ;-)
