When I Started:
Feb, 2009
How I Started:
My wife wanted to do the P90X program and asked if I would do it with her. We've been looking for things to do together, and this seemed like a great way to spend more time with her.
Why I Love It:
Honestly, I've not had great success whenever I've tried lifting weights in the past. Repeated failures haven't done much for my motivation, but I'm trying again and, hopefully, with a better outcome.

I have issues. There’s no denying it and I’d be downright dishonest if I tried to make you believe otherwise. I think most of my “stuff” happened in the past, but I keep experiencing situations or people that bring various things to the surface. I like the fact that I’m...
I only took the protein on my time off. I don't know for sure what the best approach really is though. You might ask one of the bodybuilder guys that has more knowledge than me. I don't want to steer you wrong.
Thanks. the great thing about getting my photo done with my girls is that it doesn't matter what I look like, no one really even cares if i'm in the pic. What are you going to do during your weight lifting break?
That's a bummer, had I known you guys were heading through town I'd have asked to meet up for food or had you swing by the house. I live right off the Ashland Avenue exit, which is a main route to/from the stadium from the south.
Ten days worked out perfect and I was ready to jump back into working out. Its also what they call in the HST program as deconditioning the muscles, which they recommend 9-16 days. This gives enough time to completely repair the muscles and be ready for growth during your next phase.
If your that sure, then you had better take it. I have "pushed" on through before and ended up either going backwards or injured. Take a break!! You'll come back ready to tear it up even more.
It definately was intentional. I need to be under 170 to be in my prime weight range. I've got some work to do and diet cleaning to do as well. have a great week.
I've been stuck at doing about 6-8 reps of 170 lbs. on lat pulldowns, and about 6 reps of 170-180 lbs. on rows doing a full back workout once a week. I think it's the overloading 5 days a week, and building up with low reps, lots of sets. Man, it's working...
I am many things and patient is somewhere on the list. Unfortunately, not in the top....50? It is a struggle for me and something I'm doing as of today.
