How I Started:
I have been a gym rat all my life pretty much. Once I finished college I started spending more time in the gym until it just became a way of life.Growing up, I was always a big kid, thus the nickname “Big Ben”. I didn’t want to let the good genetics my parents passed on to me go to waste so I became more and more involved with bodybuilding. Being in the military on deployments…Navy Deployments…didn’t leave a lot to do so working out kept me busy and kept me focused. After being approached by other guys in the gym that were serious bodybuilders and taking a few pointers…I was hooked.
Why I Love It:
Anger management and the realease of life stresses.
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing pictures of all the Champions and winners and just aspiring to be in their shoes one day.
BB Accomplishments:
Getting my feet wet with my first few competetions and/learning to pose properly.

Goal (Long):
My goal is to pack on 20 or more pounds. I want to compete as a natural bodybuilder and prove that natural guys can be just as HUGE as the rest! I also want to continue to inspire others that see my level of fitness. I don't think it matters what level of fitness you are as long as you are committed to staying healthy and fit. My 2nd Place finishes this year has motivated me to train even harder to become an IFPA Pro.
More bang for the buck. I tend to mis a lot of meals when i travel and the Whey makes up for it.

Why? What are the pros and cons of working out there?
It's all we have here in the desert. I have a gym in my basement at home. I love working out at home. I don't have to be bothered with the crowd and nonsense.
Another solid workout. I must say I really did not want to go to the gym. I guess it's the holiday thing and my workout partner being on leave...anyway I took my zap and ABC and hit it. Since I was dragging at first I warmed up and lifted "ubber-heavy" tonight. The workout was shoulders and tris....
sumo squats... i never thought about those. ive been looking for some new exercises for hams too, especially since i started doing regular deadlifts again (deads, squats, and stiff leggeds all in the same week could be a little much on the low back). i should go heavy on the sumo squats right?
I have heard about the OCB but the NPC is the way to go for more national exposure. Plus, they also have more local/regional shows. I think as a figure competitor I don't have to worry much about competing against other "natural" athletes like bodybuilders would. Thanks, though!
oh ok. cool cool. im tryin to get those hams... mine don't hang like that, and i know hanging hams is a big plus on stage. lately i've been splitting up my leg day so i have a day just for hamstrings... been doin it for a while... i guess we'll see what the results show next year.

hey man congrats on your placing regardless...you rear dbl bi and lat spread are insane...plus your legs are thick as tree trunks...something i need to improve on...what works for you?
i dont know about the complex one but as far as taste is the best tasting I have ever tried. & its 10 diff proteins...I LOOOVE IT! best ive ever used and tasted. Hope this helps!
