How I Started:
I started working out, because I've always loved to work out and be physically fit. I thought this would be the best option for me at this point in my life.
Why I Love It:
I love to body build because it makes me feel strong and healthy. When I work out, I get to zone out the world and just focus on me for a while.
How I Stay Motivated:
During my workouts, I stay motivated by listening to my favorite House D.J. Frankie Knuckles. I actually met Frankie in Chicago at the House of Blues and thought that he was super inspirational.
BB Accomplishments:
As far as what I can see- I still need a lot of work. I think that if I hit the gym everyday, I may be able to see better muscle definition all over. Eventually, I want to have runner's legs:)

Goal (Long):
I understand that loosing body fat is really what affects the way cloths fit...so my short term goal extends to loosing 4% body fat in 4 months. Ultimatley, I want go down to 10% over all body fat. I am currently at 19.5% body fat. When I was in the USNavy, I was very strict on my diet, and especially in the way that I trained. I think that it had a lot to do with the locale. I was stationed in San Diego, California- the 'Mecca' of fitness. I noticed that back then (2003-2004) I changed up my exercise routine, and would walk trails and go up and down steep hills- lots of outdoor activities... and now I am more complacent. At Gold's, I tend to stick to the same kind of workouts. Hopefully, with Interval Training and the familiarization of the machines at the gym- I will learn to make my routine more challenging.

Today is especially bitter sweet. It's a cold day in Brownsville and the gauge in my brother's truck read 40 degrees. I used to like the cold weather till I started noticing it didn't like me. Everytime we get a Northern Front- I always get sick. It's difficult to work out when your lungs...
My workout program is pretty consistant. I run at 6.3mph for 30 minutes, and every 5 minutes I raise and lower the incline to 5. I use the Stair Climber and avoid the elliptical, but I'll start using it next week. I work on arms by combining all types of free weight routines. I use the...
