I have played sports my entire life so I have always been very active but after two pregnancies and gaining 70lb.with each one(yikes!) I hated what it did to my once fit body. It took me some time to get back to working out and it has taken a long time and a lot of sacrifice(I love sweets!)to get to where I am. I am still working towards my ultimate goal of showing off six pack abs!
Why I Love It:
Looking and feeling great, setting a good example for my kids,there's no better reason.
How I Stay Motivated:
Being active is just part of who I am,but on those days when I'm wiped and just feel like lounging around I remember how great I always feel after I workout and that motivates me to get moving.
It is 105 degrees out! This is where it gets hard for me to go to the gym-I don't even want to step outside let alone break a sweat in the gym where they keep the a/c off,btw! I am going to go but i'm not gonna be happy about it...that is until I see the veins in my bulging muscles starring back...
5 days of lifting,microcycling right now(3-6 reps week one,8-12 week two,15-20 week three then back to 3-6 and so on),3-4 excercises per bodypart,4 sets per exercise.

Hey, glad your feeling better. Got to get out and enjoy some of the nice weather while it lasts ;) My tri was fun. Swim was scary at first. freaked me out. but after a couple o minutes, it was really fun. want 2 improve my time next yr. Started weights yesterday. Finally!
Glad your going back to the gym. we all slip here and there but we are better off than we would have been if we weren't trying at all. we will eventually know our hangups and surpass them. :)
Hey,,,ummm yah. was getting way too skinny, started 2 see my bones on my upper chest and freaked out and just started eating for the sake of eating. So i have a little pouch now but i feel better. My tri is on Aug 30th. Can't wait!! But I am going 2 be at the end of the pack. Cardio got me skinny but don't feel strong or firm. can't wait to get back to the weights. How is everything going with u?
Looks like your "motivation level" took a noise dive. Don't beat yourself up. Go for a run outside or something. If it makes u feel better, I was feeling the same way. Sometimes u need to take and day off and other times u need 2 just start off slow and get through it. Speed intervals also help get u out of a dragging your feet day. Remember this is a lifestyle or marathon so adjust it to what u can do. Trust me, every1 goes through it! If it was easy, every1 would be doing it.
It's good that u stuck to your weights schedule and r being more aware of what u r eating. That's how the snowball starts!If u do your abs inbetween reps, that always makes u feel like your doing cardio. So u might be able 2 get more of it that way. But good job so far.
Congrats on your weight loss update! I have a new workout schedule for the tri. I'll probably post it tomorrow after making tweeks 2 it. I think my goal for this week will be 2 make a plan for 2 days back 2 back and stick 2 it. I would do more but I know I can do 2 days. I'll start from there. Maybe next week it will be 3 or 4. I'll post it tomorrow.
Hey girly, glad 2 hear your sticking 2 ur plan. u should take a progress pic of where u r at now, even if u don't post it on the site, so u can compare later from right now. It's motivating, cuz ur 1st reaction is 2 get mad. Like my hubby was saying, u don't really realize how u look until u look at pics or video of yourself. so true...
My week has been good. Working out daily and eating good 80% of the time i would say. Weird, i think i'm scared of doing anything perfect cuz i'm afraid of having 2 stay perfect. No one can stay perfect. Did this through school too. I would always try 2 stay at a "B", and if I found out i was getting an "A", I would slack off a bit. I need a shrink!

Maybe you could think of it in a positive way, like the sweat is your body's way of cleansing and getting you even more skinny ;) so do u have 2 wait 4 ur hubby to watch the babies before u workout?
Think i lost my motivation after i lost most of my weight, but lately i started realizing that i don't really look good "skinny-fat" either. Been swimming and stuff, need 2 get back 2 the weights and eating better. How 'bout u? Do u want 2 follow a program together? Maybe we will do better if someone's doing it with us. : )
Hey,,,how's it going! i'm not taking the kids 2 the gym now until i know more about swine flu. over-reacting? maybe. i've shifted from weights to swimming cuz i want to do a triathlon at the end of Aug. Just now starting to go at night again. Hard going at night cuz i'm always tired...
