"To look the way I have always wanted to look - To feel the way I deserve to feel - To have confidence in myself & to set myself up as a good role model for my kids."
As an athlete, I was always interested in Bodybuilding but was never able to work on that. Now that I need a goal and athletics are out of my league (at 35) I feel that Bodybuilding is a great way to ensure that I remain healthy and active and it is something that I can continue to the end of my time.
Why I Love It:
I have always enjoyed working out and pushing myself but right now I think what I love most is the knowledge that I am doing something that benefits both me and my family.
How I Stay Motivated:
Right now it is pretty easy to stay motivated because I am seeing great results with what I have been doing. I also love the feeling after working out and the piece of mind that I get from the activity.

255 Pounds and tired of being out of shape.
I think there has been a little bit of progress. I just wish the mid section would come in line. Well - I guess it did take a while to put on so it will take a while to take off.
To look the way I have always wanted to look - To feel the way I deserve to feel - To have confidence in myself & to set myself up as a good role model for my kids.
Goal (Long):
Short term - To get to a point where I feel comfortable being in a swimsuit while on vacation without feeling the need to wera a shirt.
Mid term - To loose the "tire"! I want to see the abdominals like I did when I was in sports. Additionally, I want to define muscle and develope a balanced body (not huge - just right)
Long term - Not sure if I have the guts but I would like to be in shape and prepared to enter a local Natural Bodybuilding comp.
What type of nutrition plan are you currently following? Give full details.
I am curently using a cutting diet to loose excess body fat and am at about 1,900 calories. Balanced out to about 65% pt, 20% carbs and 15% fats.
After this I will be going back to a moderate diet of 3,000+/- calories and staying high in pt. (50, 30, 20)I am curently using a cutting diet to loose excess body fat and am at about 1,900 calories. Balanced out to about 65% pt, 20% carbs and 15% fats.

Well I guess I have taken enough time off. After working so hard to meet my goal, I basically took two months off and I must say - I maintained where I wanted to but I feel the need to get back at it. My weight has crept up to 215 so my goal is to take off 15 pounds in the next 8 weeks. ...
Wow, graduated 3x from same school. I hope you were valedictorian, so that you got to make 3 graduation speeches. Good thing you're working out, to keep that bod up with your intellect. ;-)
thanks! apparently all you have to do is eat the right foods to get the body you want- haha wish i would have learned that sooner! hows your training going?
Thanks for the feedback! I think all those wide grip pull ups are paying off and just pushing harder than EVER! I want more thickness and definition. I'm so ready to go back to bulking :)
Long time hows it been...Ive been down and out for a few weeks. Right knee started to fill with water. Dr. had to drain it. PAINFUL!!! But feeling better just waiting for the ok...Not sure what caused it but still should be back soon. Downside...I put on a few pounds. But hey thats life...You???
45 pounds... that is awesome. I have had setbacks mentally and emotionally, but surprisingly at the gym I'm doing better than ever, anyway, I will reach my goals, you'll see.
