How I Started:
At my fattest i was 100kg at 30% bodyfat in August 1999. i decided at this time i no longer wanted to be fat. so i joined a gym, cut down my eating and did tons of cardio. i got down to 88kg with 20% bodyfat by july 2001. after this i slacked off at reached a high of 121kg with 28% bodyfat. then in september 2007 i armed myself with the importance of resistance training and started my journey again. at this point i was 117.5kg with 27% bodyfat
Why I Love It:
bodybuilding makes me feel awesome. i see changes all the time and each week is continual improvement. as my body takes shape, my goals change with it, so that i am always striving to be better today than i was yesterday.
How I Stay Motivated:
by watching videos of chris masters and mike tyson and to one day have a physique like them.
10/05/09 9 wk challenge - need to lose 16.7kg (1.86kg/wk) N118.0kg T101.3kg
05/07/09 after 7 wks - lost 5.0kg, need to lose 13.2kg more (4.39kg/day) N113.0kg T98.8kg

Goal (Long):
At the time of writing i am weighing in at 117.5kg with 27% bodyfat. My initial aim is to reduce the bodyfat to 12%. This i think requires losing 17kg more (initial aim was to lose 17kg) - which i will monitor from week to week. whilst doing this, i will begin to start weight-training which i have neglected up till now. with weight-training i would like to get as strong as possible whilst eating cleanly. my previous diet consisted of high fat and high sugar such as fizzy drinks (coca cola is so beautiful) (2 litre/day), chocolates (3/day), biscuits, donnar kebabs, pizzas, burgers. this will all have to go and will be replaced by drinking of plenty of water with the introduction of fruit!
ha, I wish I were playing grass-courts tennis, or even cricket, on the green grass of Wimbledon or Lord's... but no such luck. I, the plebeian sort of fellow, am cutting my own grass with a reel mower (The manual kind) and it is keeping my heart in that fat-burning range you speak of. I'm doing some bodyweight exercises too! Pushups and so on. You sure are doing great. So nice to see you getting fit.

Thanks for the tips. I do normally go in a similar pattern Chest, Shoulders, Back, Triceps, and Biceps.

Yea man its going have not achieved my competion goals has some setbacks but I am continuing to progress to my goals. I am not going to quit until I get on that posing stage at least once.
4 day split! that is 3 days more than me. I'd like to read it if you have it posted somewhere, or found it somewhere. I bet you will find your bodyfat has dropped a lot, as your lifts have gone up. I don't think you need to lose a lot. Be different. Be strong.

Hey, thanks for the stop by and encouragement. It's really just a matter of deciding that now is the time to change, and doing whatever it takes to make it happen. Keep working at it, especially with the cardio. Cardio is key to weight loss. It's not always fun, but we'll both see results from it in time.
