I worked out throughout highschool & college athletics. But I really did not have any bodybuilding knowledge or the belief that I could make any considerable gains until 1995. I competed in 1999, winning the overall at the NANBF Flint Natural Star. I was in the best shape of all competitors that day but realized that I needed much more size on my 6'1 frame, even for the natural ranks. I then sustained a serious back injury, squating in 2000 & was sidelined for a year+. I have been training from moderate to severe intensity ever since 2004 after graduating from nursing school but not consistant by all measures barring illness or injury until April 2007.
Why I Love It:
I love seeing what I can do with my body. Like the old analogy of the painter and the canvas. I enjoy lifting weights but dislike cardio for the most part. The necessary evil but less if you train hard and eat right.
How I Stay Motivated:
I love bodybuilding. Do not get that twisted. But my single most extrinsic motivating factor is my AMAZING girlfriend Lindsay Marie Kelly! I couldn't be happier;)
BB Accomplishments:
1999 NANBF Flint Natural Star Tall Class & Overall Winner

Soon to join Team Norton for prep spring 2010!
Train with less lower extremity/joint pain, shoulder pain free, add muscle... marry Lindz!
Goal (Long):
Gain maximum muscle and keep bodyfat as low as possible. Quality, quality, quality!
Competing in the NPC now. I want to place well in NPC beginner level shows. Get my lean muscle above 200Lbs to compete in the heavy weight class. Do the Natural Michigan & Natural Northern USA (Cleveland, OH) in 2009. Those shows qualify you for the NPC Team Universe (national level show) which I hope to be ready for in 2010. Making the Universe is my main bb goal! I would like to also do the NPC Masters Nationals in 3-4 years. But it is becoming saturated with great long-term NPC amateurs who never turned pro. Probably due to the coveted IFBB pro card now available. I would like to open my gym in the next 5 - 10 years.
We share the blessing of being single fathers of daughter(s). I've watched this guy improve steadily over the past few years and the sky is the limit. He trains no nonsense, offers encouragement & inspiration to others and is a wealth of pure knowledge trial by fire style. Wishing him the best at the 2009 NPC USA!
Because BK stays in shape but continues to progress. He is completely humble and takes the entire spectrum of bodybuilding serious. He has all the good to go wherever he so chooses in the sport.

Do you currently have a workout partner?
Yes
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
Motivation, spotter, someone to feed off of and push or be pushed by. Better workouts, more focus are benefits...besides she's my g/f & into fitness so it's a plus plus for me!
Just began using EST Propadrol, Thermostat & Suppressor. Day two on Propadrol produced immediate increase in my strength during my chest workout. I felt a sustained energy & workout intensity from the Thermostat. Greater than that of VPX Redline and equal to BSN Endorush but minus...
