My Workout Philosophy View My Full Workout Program
Embracing fire on a daily basis!
My workout plan is serious business. On average, I lift weights in a 6 day split that incorporates legs and shoulders twice a week (my weak areas). I lift heavy, focusing on 3-4 sets of 8-10 reps until muscle failure, with as short of a break as I can manage. With this lifting routine, I incorporate at least 4 cardio sessions of 30 minutes a piece into my week, double that if I am in competition preparation. The cardio sessions are done primarily in HIIT format, and range from cardio machines to kickboxing to plyometrics and bootcamp drills.
I am a personal trainer and kickboxing instructor, and during this time I am also very active, either demonstrating, pushing, or going through a drill with my clients to ensure they get through at their best. I don't count this as part of my workouts.
I take no more than one rest day a week, although I do try to add in at least 1 session of extended stretching or yoga per week to care for my body.

My Motivation Program View My Full Motivation Program
Motivation, Consistency and Discipline
Motivation is not an organic phenomenon; motivation is a byproduct of discipline and consistency. People always want to talk about motivation, and how to keep it going, and the only way to do that is to continue to put discipline and consistency together!
Let me explain...
Consistency is getting up every day, and doing what needs to be done, over and over again. Dedication is doing precisely that
So if you are looking for something to 'motivate' you to get started, just DO it. Get it done, even when you don't want to, because you will only benefit and be MORE motivated in the long run!
