When I Started:
May, 2005
How I Started:
I was tired of seeing all of these guys that I used to play football with, getting bigger and stronger than me. I started lifting in my room, lifted over the summer of 2005 and gained 15 lbs that summer. I liked what I saw and now I am who I am.
Why I Love It:
There are soo many reasons. It's something to get my mind off of other things. I used to play football, baseball, and golf in highschool but I don't anymore, so this is my substitute cause it's all I have left. I'm really good at it and I know that I am succeeding and will continue to do so. It's one of the only things, especailly with school, that no one can tell me what to do or how to do it. I like knowing that I'm stronger than most of the people in my life. Apparently the ladies love my body. lol
How I Stay Motivated:
When school or life in general get me down I just hit the gym by myself or with a friend. I can see the progress that I make almost every day with my lifting and I want to see more. Sometimes I lift for sports and other times I lift for the girls. I'm motivated to workout no matter what comes my way. I also know that skipping workouts hurts my progress a lot and I have spent too much time in the gym to stop.

This picture was taken when I started college. After this picture was taken I got up to 225 that winter through bulking. I dropped to 215 for the spring semester. I continued to be 210-215 until I started doing my lifts in supersets around the start of this fall semester. I'm a lot stronger than...
This was taken a few days ago over Thanksgiving. The gyms were closed over the break which always makes me sad. I ate soo much so I look less defined. I'll be back down to 199 in a day or two and looking better.
I made them myself. I simply went online and found exercises that I thought would give me a good workout. I have changed almost nothing about my original workout.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
It varies between 1 to 2 min. There are a lot of factors. I'm lifting heavy weight and am hittin it very hard so 30 sec of rest is not enough to catch my breath. I also have been smoking for almost a year and a quarter now, that doesn't help. I take longer between sets if I'm sick.It varies between 1 to 2 min. There are a lot of factors. You know what pisses me off about coming home for the summer??? I have to settle for working out at Vanderbilt because there's not a gym within 5 miles of my house that has anything over 105lbs dumbbells! For ****s sake I work with 110, 130, and 150 lbs dumbbells on a regular basis. Gyms...
Time for damage in the gym lol no rest for the weary its sunday and time to sling some iron. The same iron that is your only true friend it never lies because unlike other friends if you dont lift it it will make a mockery of you and only drive you to push harder not pat you on the back and tell you better luck next time. So be the bigger friend and pick up your iron when its down and when its up keep it that way.
haha i think it's breaking!!!
so i'm not really sure where to go from here, i will probably do my IF thing for another 2 weeks or until school is out until i can eat every 3 hours like i want.
but DAMN you look good!
welcome and certainly looking ready from traps to calves to do a lot of damage in your sport. Keep us updated on both the training and wrestling. Andre
