I got started with serious lifting some time during the early parts of 2000. I thought I was too heavy and wanted to loose some wight. I had some great results in the first 6 months and since then I have been training first to keep it off and then more for mass and strength.
Why I Love It:
I love it because of the way it makes me feel. Some say its like a runners high but I know its better than that. I'm pretty sure Arnold had the right idea in pumping iron with his views on the topic.
How I Stay Motivated:
I like to read Muscle and Fitness along with finding motivation from people on sites like this one or myspace. Its nice to read about new workouts and see peoples success pictures and stories.
BB Accomplishments:
When I first started lifting weights and eating a better diet in 2000 I went from being a chubby teen at 225-230lbs to about 170-175lbs in around 4 or 5 months. Over the years since I have worked to keep the fat levels down and gain muscle mass. I don't know what my body fat percentages have been in the past but I believe I am currently between 13% and 15% and weigh about 206lbs depending on the day and time.

I want to add some lean mass to round out my frame in a more muscular fashion. I also want top try and tighten up that midsection of mine to make it more defined. I want to feel more comfortable at the beach! :)
Jamie is a hard worker and does not stop - she has the ultimate dedication! She has been very successful and has always been a sweet heart - the success has not gone to her head. Jamie, you are an inspiration!

Which pro bodybuilder/fitness/figure competitor has the ideal physique? Why?
I think that the guys like Arnold, Lou Ferrigno, and Frank Zane had the right idea. Big and proportioned but not totally insane and blown out like the guys today. The guys today deserve their props for getting so huge and massive, but, I just prefer the classics from the era of Arnold and Lou.I think that the guys like Arnold, Lou Ferrigno, and Frank Zane had the right idea. Do you tell your friends and/or family about your fitness goals?
Yes
Why or why not?
I tell my girl friend, brother, and father what I am up to. My brother lifts too so it is nice to share goals with each other.

What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
Body building can be a SLOW process... It has been for me. Be patient, stay focused, make sure you are doing things correctly and you will see results.
I have been plugging along this summer as best as I can. It has been a busy time though so progress has been tough at points, but, I am happy to report that I am pretty much back to where I was a year ago when I screwed up my back! :) Pretty happy about that. The only thing I haven't been doing...
Hey Darlin! Hope u had a great wknd! I was a bad girl, cheated on menu food... noh well, hitten the training hard this week... which I love! Hope life is good with ya and ur kill'n it on ur end!! :)
Nope-gonna lay low & party at the house....wish I was younger & could take advantage of those "club" days when we gained the extra hour of party time-haha!
That's too bad-I really feel for my peers who have to travel or work ridiculous long days...I know for a fact that my motivation level would be next to zero if I had to deal w/that...my luxery is that I'm a trainer so I'm in the gym all day-no excuses! I hope you find your "balance" my friend :)
The traveling has to suck so bad for your gym routine-I can only imagine!! Looks like I'll compete in July/Aug next year...thank goodness I still have more time :)
Oh ur support is awesome.. so is the avi!! Great smile Mr! Hope ur world is good, enjoy ur night and have a great weekend! Ttys :) Till then Train Train Train...
