Overall Goal: I have lost 32 lbs. Now, my goal is to gain lean muscle. I would like to gain approx 10 lbs of lean muscle and clean up my diet more. Also would like to lower my body fat to approx 18%. I am slowly moving.
Fit Status:
My doctor finally cleared me to start my working out again. Today will be the first time in over six months since I have seen the inside of
I used to workout on a daily bases until my late 20's. As I got older, started a new job, marriage and children my responsibilities grew and my workouts fell to the side lines. I also have had some health concerns that limit my workouts and diet at this time. The lack of working out and eating a clean diet has caused me to gain weight. I am now on a steady workout program. Plus learning how to control our eating habits.
Why I Love It:
I like the why it makes me feel about myself. I have also noticed, if I miss a couple of work outs. I seem to not be in the greatest mood.
For me, working out is a great stress reliever after a long day at work. As a read here on bb.com "it is my time".
How I Stay Motivated:
By viewing other BodySpace sites on the bodybuilding web site. We all seem to have similar struggles. Reading and speaking to other bb.com's about the struggles helps to motivate me. Plus keep me heading in the right direction.

Glad to hear you're back in the gym. That's a wonderful thing! I think I'm pretty lucky. I don't like sweets very much and that is what seems to be around most often. Now potato chips are very hard to resist but luckily people don't make chips for Christmas baskets etc. Wishing you good training time in the gym and a very merry Christmas!
Thank you! I hope you are well. Have you been able to work out regularly? I've got a little injury time out for a week or so but I'm looking forward to getting back to training. I miss it already...you know, it's been a whole day! Lol!
Hey Mike! Thanks so much for the photo rating and comment. How's your training been? Have you got your diet in check? I know that can be the hardest part but the most important! :)
The gym is pretty old school, but that's cool. I like the old school better than the fancy gyms :) How was your first day back?? I had a great training day, LEGS AND ABS!
Not only don't I mind...I really appreciate it. I took that picture myself and then I decided that I would like to walk around in black and white..without a head..all the time! Ha, ha! Happy Monday. I hope you are doing well today!
Thanks for saying my legs look nice. I tell you, they are not my most cooperative part! I have to MAKE them behave. Lol! Hope you are doing well, happy Thursday and happy training!!
