Fit Status:
On to week 3 of BBB. Got a good friend home that will be working out with me, Cant wait!!
I was in a bad car accident in high school 2 weeks into football season, I broke my back, and was unable to play any sports my senior year. When I got out of bed rest, I wieghed 130 lbs. I wore a back brace for another 2 months and under went surgery. The first thing I was able to do was bench press months later. It was hard watching all my friends playing without me and lifting wieghts was a way to relieve some stress and not feel completely helpless. By graduation I was fully recovered and wieghed 165, high in body fat and low in muscle. End of my freshman year in college I was 185 and saturated with alcohol. I saw a guy in the gym that I wanted to be like and started asking questions. He gave me a book that he got his workout from, I got on it and have been on it ever since, on and off. Since 2005, by the grace of God, I have not had any drugs or alcohol, besides caffiene, and since 2008 I have been hitting the gym solid. Beginning of 2009, I have not missed a day of the 4 day program. I accepted that God could do for me what I could not do for myself, living one day at a time, living and loving life.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because of the health benefits, I feel great. I also love seeing the transformation I have seen ever since I got serious. Helping others, and watching them achieve there goals and seeing them realize, WOW, it does work. I love giving the gift of knowledge that was so freely given to me. If that guy wasnt there for me, I would not be where I am today, and I know that.
How I Stay Motivated:
For me it is a 45 minute get away 4 days a week. I love the feeling it gives me through the workout and that high afterwards. I also now it is paying off whenever all kinds of people ask how i got to where I am now and what workout i do. A lot of people seem to really want to now and I love that I could help others achieve there goals. I stay motivated through knowing that I must walk the walk. Hoping that my kids will become teenagers someday and still want to lead a healthy lifestyle through seeing that I am. Leading by example, Knowing that at the end of the day I gave it 110 percent and that is all I can do. I stay motivated for my wife and kids. There is a reason that all of us are on this earth, it is the journey that keeps me going.

Hopefully becoming the next 2010 bodyspace spokesperson model, I can I will!!!

But by the grace of God, I can I will. Hardship Is the pathway to peace, and as long as you are alive, and willing, anything can be accomplished, barriers can be broken, and goals become realities.

Thank you for your great reply. You are proof that...“God didn't promise you a day without pain, laughter without sorrow or sun without rain.
But He did promise you strength for the day, comfort for your tears and a light for your way.”
I dropped by to congratulate you and to say that you look fantastic! You have the body that so many men dream of but are not willing to put the work into developing. I compliment you on your dedication, determination as well as your achievements. You are a fantastic inspiration to others, especially me. Stay strong, focused and determined and may God bless.
