When I Started:
Jan, 2005
How I Started:
By the time I graduated highschool I tipped the scales at just above 285 lbs. I had constantly struggled with weight all my life and decided to do something about it. I was introduced to bodybuilding by a friend and in 16 months I lost a total of 120 lbs. Although losing this weight took a great burden off my shoulders, I still was not satisfied with my results and decided to pursue a mass building program, one which i plan on continuing so I can acheive my wanted results; a tone, well-sculpted body.
Why I Love It:
I love bodybuilding because it is you vs. yourself....period. You make or break your own gains, and the only person standing in the way of acheiving your goals is yourself. It's a very rewarding sport and in my opinion is the best self-confidence and character builder one can do.
How I Stay Motivated:
If i ever get down or find myself in a motivational slump...I put in Pumping Iron...who knows...maybe Franco will win it this time, lol.
BB Accomplishments:
I have lost 120 lbs of ugly fat, and in 6 months put close to 100 + pounds onto my flat bench press.
This was the picture I used for motivation in the beginning of changing my body. No matter how unsightly it is, I put it where I could see it in my dorm room as a constant reminder of what I was working on to change.
Okay...don't know if road to 08' is approiate anymore. After knee surgery last summer (amazing form on front squats) and a compound fracture to a couple vertebrae in my lower back (amazing form on deads) I bounced back and ran a couple great bulks. Only problem is, im sitting at 230lbs and...
Monday- Chest and Abs
Tuesday- Biceps and Forearms
Wednesday- Quads and Hamstrings
Thursday- Back and Calves
Friday- Triceps
Saturday- Shoulders and Traps
Sunday- Off
I constantly change my workout program just to keep the body guessing. I used to follow a very detailed workout...
Whats up Hoosier! Looks like your gaining some mass from the looks of the new pic. Gotta get back to the B-Town for car surf season=P Keep up the good work!
Hey Landon, I can't remember if I told you this, but your progress is exceptional, incredible and amazing. You look great, and should be really proud of your achievement, Dude.
Hey Landon, Dude, you have made a truly amazing transformation. I cannot imagine how much work that was, but you look awesome. Congratulations on your achievment. Some folks have naturally great bodies, but you've overcome a lot to MAKE yours great. Way to go, Man.
I have no idea yet, I want to be well prepared instead of just free falling into one, ya know? I think I saw the girl you were talking about.. she came in today while I was working. Do you know which show youre going to do?
Hmm.. I don't think I know her. I know of a few girls that are training with a personal trainer there that are planning on doing some competitions but Im unsure of their names. I try to focus on my own stuff when Im in there, lol. Well best of luck to ya and let me know how your bulk goes also!
I didn't get to compete or attend at the Indianapolis. I'm putting of the competing until my hand heals. I may end up having to do an out of state show.
Hell yes! Send some pics my way when you get your work done, may not be for a while yet but keep me in mind- I'd love to see some more of his work...there's nothing like spending good cash on a tattoo and actually getting quality work. I see a whole lot of bull****. A lot of everyday people have everyday tattoo's...that don't cut it for me. No prob on the referral- enjoy!
