When I Started:
Aug, 2007
How I Started:
During the summer of 2007 we went camping with the whole family. My last straw was when I had to wear shorts and a long t-shirt for a swimsuit. I was so embarrassed being so big and sluggish. I didn't even go summing very much and I love too. Keeping up with my family and grandkids wasn't easy and I was always feeling tired... I said to myself "This just can not be me?, I love summer and here I am doing nothing!" Since that day I have decided to improve myself for the better. "Mom" still has what it takes to be fit & beautiful!! Oh, yeah... I'm also a Grandma!!!
Why I Love It:
Working out gives me energy and I feel so much better as each day goes by. Even though my results are slow, I can see the difference I am making on my body. It feel wonderful knowing that I can do men push-ups instead of the girlie ones, LOL.. Besides now, I can wear a CUTE! bathing suit "Hubby likes that one" ;-)
How I Stay Motivated:
Staying motivated can be hard at times, but I challenge myself at each workout by telling myself "GIVE IT ONE MORE PUSH!" "NEVER SAY>>>GIVE-UP"
But my biggest motivation is my loving husband. Watching him workout and seen the changes in his body.... well let's just say it's hard to keep my hands of him ;-) You can check out his bodybuilding page at FLEETTECHROB)
BB Accomplishments:
So far... loosing 41 pounds!!
doing 12 men push-ups
sticking with a healthy plan
and ALWAYS being THANKFUL!

What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
I think of my workout plan and remember how I felt the last time I worked out, which was fantastic. My other motivation is my husband, when we go together we feed on each others energy.

Do you tell your friends and/or family about your fitness goals?
No
Why or why not?
Well, if I work hard enough the effort should show, if not then I might need to work harder. People usually mention if you are looking good.

What bicep workout has worked best for you?
Using free weights are the best and incorporating doing 21's with them works the biceps hard. After that I use the E-Z bar with low weights.
I'm feeling really good about myself lately. I have increase my cardio from 1-2x a week to 5-6x and my strength days to 1, yes! once a week - to now 3-4x a week, also my eating plan has improved 100%. This has been a request by my trainer for a while now, but not until the last 2 weeks have...
My workout program has changed so much since the last time I wrote in this. I now workout 5-6 times a week with strength training and cardio. My trainer has yet to give the same workout routine to do. She is awesome, never the same thing and always surprising my muscles on what is next. On my...

Oh sorry about your foot, I hurt my heel a while back ago and it is just starting to feel better now, I have been doing the stationary bike for my cardio! I am doing the psychotic fat burning plan on fitnesspoynters.com and I must say it is the best.
Thanks soooo much for being part of the support group!!! so happy to have you there. We had a great time the rest of the night and I managed to only have 3 drinks. Not bad, sure feel it today. Hope you got your shopping done. See you both very soon. Think about the Boot Camp.
I could tell you were working hard. And on the machines too! I never see people work as hard as you do on machines. YOU GO GIRL!! I am excited to have you both there. I appreciate the support, but most important, you will experience a show! See you soon.

Haha....I'm not a huge fan of plain oatmeal so I blend it in with choc protein powder, natty pb and water with a half cup of skim milk and it tastes great! Gotta kind of chew it up a little towards the bottom though...
Hello and Thank You! I hope you had a nice weekend, well day one on the new program was good, the workout is great, I can really feel it already but the diet is going to be tough for me, I am not used to eating so much and I feel like I am going to be gaining weight from it!! We will see!
