When I Started:
Oct, 2008
How I Started:
I decided it was time for a change in my life. I was extremely overweight, and had no physical endurance. I made a goal to join the US Navy, and that has helped me so far.
Why I Love It:
I love working out, because I love the idea of how my image and self-esteem are improving by leaps and bounds. I love seeing this constantly changing challenge, and meeting it head on! I love the feeling of accomplishment, and the amount of energy I have these days, to spend with my wife and son!
How I Stay Motivated:
I look at my dad with all of his health problems, and know I don't want to deal with that. I look at my son, and know that I want to be a positive example for him. I want him to learn how to eat right, and I want him to be able to live an active lifestyle and LOVE IT!!

I'm an ex-Marine who used to be 200Lbs and now weigh 292, I just joined this sight today but noticed what a great job you are doing. Keep it up. What are your weekly weight loss goals. How about some competition?
It's terrifying for me to lose weight. It's like... taking my security blanket away. This is my defense mechanism. Also I'm terrified of losing all the weight and ending up with so much excess skin. Do you have any advice on that?
How have you been doing?
Hey man!
I hope things are going your way!!!
January was tough for me, having my 44th b'day dinner stop my progress dead the final week so now it's time to kick it up a gear!!!
Have a GREAT week!!!
