When I Started:
Oct, 2007
How I Started:
I've always been very active (sports in high school, regular cardio in college) but last May at the end of my senior year I started lifting regularly--and fell in love. From there it snowballed. I started working with coach Cathy Savage (www.cathysavagefitness.com) to train harder and smarter.
Why I Love It:
Nothing hooked me more than cable-rowing a ton of weight or squatting 10 pounds more than the week before.
How I Stay Motivated:
Reminding myself that I am being rewarded for all my hard work and dieting with a healthier mind and body...
BB Accomplishments:
To date?
- 15 pullups (go me! that was a BIG deal for me...well to be honest the first one was a REALLY big deal)
- 45 pushups
- Siging up for my first show--its official now and its ON!

I figured I might be a little lost following my first competition, but now starting in my 3rd week after 'the big show' I am feeling REALLY REALLY lost with my fitness because unlike the last 7 months, I don't have a tangible goal. And I am struggling to figure out what the next one...
OMG it is going...the scale is not budging but some areas seem to be getting tighter :-) My trainer just gave me my new plan so I am excited to switch it up! How about you????
Hi there Megan; Your pics look awesome! Good luck at your fall competitions. You will rock! ..... BTW, is that the same Boston which is home to the Celtics? I'm an avid L.A. Lakers fan here (lol). Best regards, Scott
Yeah, thats what I was thinking about you living on the computer. With the dieting, try starting a few weeks earlier and shocking your body with the diet, cut the carbs REALLY low, then change it up the next week, and maybe add a few carbs and lower again slowly, down to the last week.
That must be tough traveling and trying to stay consistant with the diet and training. Things keep getting better slowly. The best part is the pain is starting to go away, so I'm a lot less nervous to push it.
