When I Started:
Nov, 2005
How I Started:
Like a lot of guys, I went into college a very skinny guy at around 140lbs. I was never really into sports in school, and always wanted something extracurricular I had a strong passion for. My sophomore year in college I began weight lifting sticking with a basic 3x10 routine only working back, chest and arms. Over the past 3 years I've become more and more disciplined and driven in the sport that is bodybuilding. I've learned a lot, met a lot of people, become more confident and disciplined not just with my diet and training regimine, but in life as well. Bodybuilding has brought so much to me that I wouldn't trade for the world.
Why I Love It:
Bodybuilding used to be something I did to "get bigger" and pass the time in college. Now I love if because it's a lifestyle to me...a way of life. It's helped me become stronger in all aspects of life.
How I Stay Motivated:
Results. The pump. Helping others live similar fitness lifestyles and watching them succeed around me.
BB Accomplishments:
-Hitting the 300 mark on bench press (315x1 actually).
-Dipping my bodyweight plus 160lbs x 6.
-Squatting 275 to the floor, feet together.
-Staying 100% natural, drug and alcohol free.
Push my mind and body to the limit and keep going.
Goal (Long):
I want to be in the best shape of my bodies ability and keep pushing myself to go further. I want to be on the cover of Muscle & Fitness by the time I'm 28. I would like to compete in my weight class in the summer of 2010 and come out on top!
I admire TriednTrue's dedication to bodybuilding. He's put in a lot of hard work. Him and his buddy, Nick Edge are two very inspirational guys I hope to meet someday.
What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
Listen to some motivational music. Usually Sammy Hagar, Motley Crue, Creed, or some Kenny Chesney island music. Take my pre workout supps and head to the gym.

Do you currently have a workout partner?
Yes
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
I used to hate having a partner. But ever since I've started training with my partner, Bob, in September 2008, I've broken through many plateaus, overcome psychological barriers, and pushed him to do the same. It's not the same training without him anymore. Now I occassionally lift with Bob, but I've gotten my girlfriend Hannah into working out so I train with her most of the time now. It's great to workout with the love of my life!I used to hate having a partner. Working your shoulders and arms every other day is working for you. I've been taking a break from the full body workout that I've been using and have moved to a more normal split lifting routine recently. Have a good summer.
Thank you for adding me back, and you are right, legs are so big a reservoir of muscle-building mass (I mean as a chemical factory for the rest of the body) that to ignorethem is criminal. Yet so many guys (and gals) hide them in jeans and focus on the biceps.
You're welcome - it's great to see when bodybuilding transforms not only a body - who knows it might have even been partly responsible for your relatively late growth spurt (2 inches taller at 20?) too - but a life as it sounds like it did for you. Your shoulders are especially impressive in your profile pic btw. I'm sure you'll be pushing past any limits you thing you have soon!
Things have been going well. I just started a new routine series. I had to put off week 4 since I got this cold, but I'm feeling more energy today. I might do something light today. I've got to get a new pic up there too.
What up AJ, yeah dude, hit me up! I'm always interested in new routines! Everything's been well bro, just been busy!..and trainin hard! How've you been man?
