Start with "personal trainer certificiation." Get that material first. Once you earn that one, you can later go on to get your advanced certifications. Good luck and let me know!

well, it takes 4-6 months of studies befoe you actually become a trainer. (it's not quite as easy as just going to their site). They send you a load of study materials and then you have to pass the exam...a practical and written exam, plus 500 multiple choice questions. AFPA isn't the only organization. There are others such as ACE and APEX. Good luck and let me know!

Hey man, it doesn't have to be a college degree. In fact, I'm not even sure if colleges actually offer a personal training degree. It is usually called exercise physiology, which has its differences. Physical therapy is a masters degree (6 years) which is a different field. I got certified under American Fitness Professionals and Associates. afpafitness.com is our site. Good luck!
