I once was an athlete in school, won awards and championships in hockey, rugby and tennis. Then a knee injury sidelined me for two years and I never really got back into it. I have tried to get into weightlifting and bodybuilding. I would go for a few months and then I would just stop because 1.) I wasn't seeing results and 2.) I was alone (pre-internet).
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of a good pump after working out hard. I would love someone to work out with to make greater gains but...
How I Stay Motivated:
"THE CIRCLE!!!" My friends here on Bodyspace are really keeping me motivated! Thank you to everyone that send me well wishes and helping me get my ass off of the couch! Love ya all!

Goal
Goal (Long):
I want to shed the belly roll I have and gain rock hard muscle all over. I don't plan on competing I just want to live a normal life with my three grandkids. Yes, I said grandkids! LOL
OK, now that I am part of a gym (although a pretty small one) and I have stuff at home, I can begin setting up my workout. Problem is, I know the basic few exercises I can do but that will get stale pretty fast. Anyone that can help me in this regard? I would gladly appreciate it.
HEY blsmith..How have you been. Yeah...not getting on to much these days. Trying to get all this accident stuff taken care of. But, things are getting better. Hope all is well.
Ok - heres your answer - I just noticed on your profile that you've read Tom Veneto's Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle - would you recommend getting it or do you think all that info can be found on BB.com anyway? See - I can learn from you smart guy!
Make sure to have a Protine shake right after your workout. Try to get 1 to 1.5 grams per body pound per day. ( 200 pounds = 's at least 200 grams of protine a day). I would give the Monohydrate a try. Keep on Keepin!
Real Men Have Mass!
Hey Brian,
Well Supps are hit and miss. What works for me might not work for you.... vice versa. I would use a good Protine.... Vits... and maybe try a Monohydrate Creatine. The MC will help build strenght which equals Muscle Size or Mass... and also will help with recovery to a point. What do you use now?

I checked out your squats. (I know I am a little behind in the thread). I would be really mindful of your knees when you are doing this workout. I will be watching out!!!
yes everything is great, just been concentrating on diet and yoga. Not really lifting extremely heavy, just basically maintaining what I have and slimming down with cardio. how are you?
