When I Started:
Aug, 1992
How I Started:
I have always been into fitness. I took a weight lifting class in high school. And I joined the military after high school and became a pt coordinator. I love to help others stay in shape as well, which is why I became a certified personal trainer. When I was in the Air Force, I really got into running and stopped lifting weights for a while. Then, I got serious when I wanted to lose weight after giving birth to my second child and realized that strength training, in addition to cardio, was necessary to change my body.
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel/look good, as well as keep me healthy.
How I Stay Motivated:
I TEACH SPIN CLASSES, which forces me to be accountable and go to the gym. I need to look the part and act the part if I want to give advice to others.
But I stay motivated also by knowing the positive effects that fitness has on your body. :)
GET FIRM, be as fit as I can be - and be a good role model to other mothers, proving we can be sexy.
Goal (Long):
I want to FIRM UP my legs and abs and get my abs ripped. My abs have never been 6-pack ripped. I want to lose about 5% body fat and gain a little muscle, and still look feminine.
I have steered away from running (which is an exercise I actually love) for a few months because I was told (by a close friend of mine, who's a full-time personal trainer) that my muscle tissue was being catabolized when I ran, which was causing muscle loss instead of fat loss...and it was...
Thanks for the comment! I really don't pay as much attention to them as I should. I am going to try a new routine to help build on the legs. I hope I can get out of the plateau and into the groove again. Stay motivated!
Getting back on the train is a plus. At least you have identified the need and are willing to make the step. So good on you for taking the steps. Take it easy at first so you don't burn yourself out and end up at square 1. I will be keeping an eye so holla if you need anything. Stay motivated!
So far training is going well. I got my first set of "notices" the other day and I have been on cloud 9 ever since. If I keep it up, I will have achieved "hottie" or "hunk" status (but it is still wishful thinking at this point)!
Hey there...i ended up breaking my ankle at the end of the summer and just started back at the gym. It hurt so bad...i was trying to slide into 3rd base and it didn't go well. How are things with you?
I'm on everything BSN offers, NO Xplode, Cell Mass, Atro-Phex, Axis HT, and Nitrix. I've learned how to stack the stuff properly, and I'm seeing progress, thus causing me to be motivated :D
excellent! I don't have enough time to have the cyber friends so much but from time to time i'll check in with a few folks. Whats the tattoo of? Nice avi by the way ;)-
Just revamp it Im not on much but I do revert back to it from time to time to track my progress and get new ideas for workouts. How was Iraq? When did you get back?
