How I Started:
I became a firefighter for the Forest Service back in 1999 and decided that strength was my weak point and much needed to do the job. So in between seasons I would work out. Far from firefighting now, I have adopted weight lifting as part of my life style and I LOVE IT!!!
Why I Love It:
At this point in my life, lifting has become so habitual I find that I am continuously looking for new ways to challenge myself with it. I suppose that having the freedom of finding new challenges with it makes the reason why I love it.
How I Stay Motivated:
I've stayed motivated to workout, but not to diet lately. Regardless, I could never give up my lifting program.

Continue training for Chico Show June 13th.
Goal (Long):
NEW GOAL 1/2009: Compete May '09 Been trying to get focused on the diet thing again, but been too focused in other areas. Guess I don't want it that bad, because if I did....... Overall, I feel good about my body and showing a lot of gains in my strength; especially my dumbell chest press. So maybe it isn't time to diet seriously again anyway. Loving that I'm getting stronger so I suppose that would be my current goal: to gain strength. At least for the next few weeks. LOL OUTDATED The last 6 months of my life have been in serious transition, but now I am settling into those transitions. It is time to get back on a training and dieting schedule in preparation for my next show!! I am not sure how much more muscle I will put on, but I certainly plan on losing more body fat this time around. Next show is March '09 and looking for that glute-ham tie in. I don't have kids or relationship so why not focus on dieting and lifting???

What do you think about people who "grunt" loudly while working out? Do you do it?
I think it is okay to do so. I do it sometimes, but not very loudly

Why is this type of protein best?
I like protein w/ at least a portion of it isolate rather than all of it only concentrate. I find that it mixes easier.

Here we go again!!!  I am so excited!!  Second time around and plan on being better than last time around.  I've been dieting for 2 weeks now, w/ random cheats, but they seem to be productive: lost 4.5 pounds and 1% body fat.  Looking forward to more results.

Simple as can be:
Day 1: legs
Day 2: chest
Day 3: arms
Day 4: back
Day 5: shoulders
Most days are abs as well 3-6 sets

Well Jennifer, I guess you can just take it a day at a time:) As long as you stay fit and healthy, you can treat yourself too; you've earned it! If you do decide to "retire" I can say you went out on top...this is your best pic ever! PERFECT pose, BEAUTIFUL tan, AMAZING mass and shape on those legs, and OUTSTANDING def on those tris and delts; and a really great smile too:)

I am LOL!!! =) Okay, bulking it is!!! Yesterday I was ready to quit! Talked with Scott(husband) about it and he talked me through it. I weighed in today and felt better about my progress. I totaly understand that! Just staying on a normal nutrition program is hard enough. You are going to continue the weight lifting though aren't you? Try not to lose the muscle, it is too hard to get back.

Have a hard time limiting it to 500 characters! Brad has a new thread to his regime, if he didn't send it and you would like to follow it, let me know. I think I took on a job as a landscaper. Decent money, which helps right now. I get to be outside and working hard. I was a bartender for 4 years, working Fri, Sat nights. Now I have my weekends off to enjoy our area, yea!!! Plus I help my husband in his cabinet shop. Busy!!!
