When I Started:
2005
How I Started:
I have been pretty athletic all through college hitting the gym to better myself at b-ball, crew, and rugby, but after my 1st deployment to Iraq, my (now) good friend Sylvia Garcia convinced me to try doing a bodybuilding show. It was great, I learned alot. I also box, run distance, and am getting into triathlons in May.
Why I Love It:
The real REAL reason (beside below - cause that's real too) I started working out is because (don't laugh) when I was younger - I use to like to draw like near nude people - like muscular people all the time (in pencil) muscles always fascinated me then...but as I got older I realized I was kinda good at the whole athletics thing - then figured out bodybuilding was like drawing muscular people - except I got to do it on myself...which was even cooler--cause then I could walk around with them;).
ALSO, though, bodybuilding gives me the opportunity to destress sometimes high stress military environment, I can meet healthy active people, AND maintain my ability to beat up Soldiers (just kidding, lol - but it does help with the occupation).
How I Stay Motivated:
Watching changes in my body endurance wise and noticing muscular strength increase - size doesn't on me just because I'm naturally like..skinny.
BB Accomplishments:
4th Place in Armed Forces European Bodybuilding Championships Nov 05. July 06 in Iraq I dead lifted 315 lbs. That was a trip ;) Finished first 1/2 Marathon in 1:49.10. More to come...<grin>

My jump rope I ordered just came in the mail And compered to other forms of cardio, in comparison they pale So I decided to try and give it a shot Not realizing that my legs afterwards wouldn't feel so hot It was all fun, and I felt like a kid Till the day afterwards because the soreness had hid...
My workout program consist of doing getting the most out of the least amount of time. I'm only going to work out 4 days a week (if possible) and focus on compound movements:
Day one: Squat/Abs (one day for reps, one day for poundage)
Day two: Off
Day three: Bench/Abs (flat, incline,...
