Overall Goal: Build Overall Strength and a Better Physique. Deadlift, Squat, and Bench Press more than 200lbs. Grow to weigh 200lbs or more and maintain a Body Fat % less than 12%. Try new athletic & physical activities.
Fit Status:
At 7/11... attempting to find clean food (which is near to not possible)
I got started after realizing that my 21st birthday was coming up and I lacked the strength, size, style and sex appeal I wished to have.
Why I Love It:
I love it because it's fun and rewarding. It's an incredible activity when you realize that with training and effort, anyone can eventually lift objects that are two to three times their own bodyweight.
It's also an alternative to my constant life of studying and teaching. Training for physical excellence is a great change of pace.
How I Stay Motivated:
Training is the only way to reach the level of physical strength and appearance I want. Being able to Bench Press, Deadlift and Squat 400lbs is not just going to happen without weight training.
Plus, I LOVE Deadlifting and Squatting; so, lower body training day is a big motivator.
Nothing is more motivational than another person's comments - even the negative ones. They help me toughen up, reconsider things, and feel encouraged.

Earlier this month. I was being really hard on myself about things not turning out as I had initially hoped. I missed training days and made up plenty of excuses. When I finally got to the gym {3/7/09}, attempting to follow Maximum Strength Program. A lot of the Pre-Hab/Warm-up...
The purpose of the program is to focus on perfecting form and building strength with the essential lifts (Bench, Squat, Deadlift, Rows, etc.) while evening out strength imbalances through single arm (unilateral) training.

i am working on a couple goals right now
and yeah you do got to start somewhere
and i started with the dumbells too
cause i couldnt even bench the 45 bar

you more range of motion and get alittle more of a sretch then with a bar
