I saw myself approaching 40 and I was tired of being a tub o' goo. I started Weight Watchers and as the weight started coming off, I hit the gym.
Why I Love It:
I love the rush that comes from pushing your body to grow. I love feeling the firm muscles growing under the shrinking layer of fat and exerting its dominance over the flab.
How I Stay Motivated:
Wearing smaller clothes, watching the number on the scale fall and watching the other guys at the gym and thinking I'm going to be thick and amazing like them in not time at all! In the end... I want to look GOOD naked!
Hitting the century mark seems elusive. Looking back at my track record, I'm still holding steady at an average loss of 1.48 lbs/week.... so I can't complain.
Hey Blazer, Thought I'd stop by and say Hi, How's training going. It's been a slow start for me this winter, but I'm up and running now. Hoping to compete May 31st. we'll see.
Peace
Brian

Ouch! My lab is 2, but weighs 110 lbs. and is still rambuctious. Sometimes he comes crashing full speed into me and once I thought he was going to break my leg! Well, time heals all wounds. Just take care of that ankle, rushing back will only prolong the injury. Sounds like you're keeping up with the parts you can control, which is great!
