cbjohn68 Excellent! I think that's a good move. And Ive heard guys say that a lot when they're cutting... you're mind plays tricks on you. You FEEL tiny even though you APPEAR more muscular. Post new pics so I can tell you how amazing you look!! :) Feb 29, 2012 9:48am

cbjohn68 That's not all that much protein. Im getting around 135 grams and I only weigh 104lbs! My trainer sets his male clients up with 1 1/2 - 2 grams/lb body. Creatine you can do as you see fit (although I am a firm believer in it myself), but BCAAs are just branch chain amino acids... the basic building blocks of protein. So yes, they are in protein drinks, but you can't OD on them. And it IS a prob if you don't have enough. Most big guys add BCAA powder to their water and sip it all day long... Feb 25, 2012 8:11am

cbjohn68 A little muscle loss is normal, but if it seems like you are losing weight too fast (more than 1 or 2 lbs per week) or losing noticeable muscle then upping calories is prob smart. Might want to up your protein too. Supplementing with BCAAs and Creatine is a good idea too, if you aren't already doing that. Feb 24, 2012 10:57pm

cbjohn68 Nice job! Those seem like great numbers, and that they are working for you :) Im eating 1261 cals (135 grams protein, 88 grams carbs, and 40 grams fat), and making excellent progress. With such low calories (and the ever increasing cardio), combined with plenty of protein, I am still making great cutting progress AND building more strength/muscle. Its pretty exciting...!! cbjohn68 183?? Wow! Nice job! Eating good, losing weight, and getting the bod in summer shape! :) Im doing really good. Only 6 weeks until my competition now, so my workouts are getting really hard and the diet getting stricter. But the results are coming. Im down to 106lbs now and starting to look cut.
