I've always lifted weights because we had to for sports, but I was never REALLY serious until Nov. '04. I just did the weights because the coaches made us and that was my lifting time, especially since all of my interest were in just playing the sport (YOUNG and DUMB). Therefore, I was always skinny and tall, but had tone/definition.
After going through an accident in the summer of '04, I had to get my whole jaw wired shut for 3 months. During this time all I could drink were shakes and that's it. It got so bad that I even tried to put hamburger meat and gravy in the blender to try and get some other types of foods in my system. Once they finally cut the metal clamps out of my mouth I was at a massive 160 lbs (lol) at 6'4. That is about as skinny as it gets.
At this point, I figured to myself that it is time to dedicate 200% of my extra time to lifting weights and studying nutrition. I began lifting weights with various top natual bodybuilders at the gym and getting many nutrition tips as well. Also I did ALOT of independent studying. Everything I learned, I pretty much noted in a book and referenced it when needed. I was like a sponge soaking up as much knowledge as possible. In addition, I wanted to further my knowledge by earining a B.S. in Biology, APEX CPT, and NASM CPT. That accident gave me a reality check and I am glad in a way that it happened, because it has motivated me to train EXTRA HARD and reach my now weight of 225 lbs., from the date listed.
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel good and an excellent way to relax after work. I always get my mind ready and play like I'm going to a battle every workout, the only way I can win, is to increase my weight and push my body out of the comfort zone. This RUSH is like no other!
I also enjoy how you can alter your body to make any transformation you want with hard-work.
How I Stay Motivated:
I always set short term goals to achieve, with the long term goals at the end of the tunnel. In addition, I try to get all of my clients to join in the journey.
BB Accomplishments:
STAYING NATURAL throughout the journey, and training my way from 160 to 225 in about 3.5 years, with 7% bodyfat.
Also starting H.I.T., which my goal with the company is to try and get all people to become healthy and cease from obtaining preventive diseases.
thanks for your comment. MAny trainers told me that they cut and pasted my comments about 2much cardio, no weights, too fat to their female clients. Its really amazing how 2much cradio+not enough meals ====fat!!!!!
