How I Started:
Decided to loose weight. My son wanted to start lifting weights so we got a set. He quit. I kept going (ha)!
Why I Love It:
I like the way I'm starting to look and love the health benefits. Also feel better and like "turning back the clock" a bit. A great stress reliever too!
How I Stay Motivated:
By remembering how easiliy I got to over 200 lbs. Also, I've gotten rid of all my "fat clothes" and don't want to have to buy new clothes!
BB Accomplishments:
For now - loosing 40 lbs of fat and toning up my way-out-of-shape body at 40 years old.

I'd like to reduce my body fat by 5% by the end of the year.
Goal (Long):
I want to gain 2 inches on my biceps over the next year. Also I'd like to increase my Bench Press, Deadlift, Squat, and Overhead Press PR's. By focusing on these major lifts, I want to increase strength and muscularity while dropping body fat.
I'm looking at two things right now. I'm looking at a very busy work schedule and increased responsibilities there ... and my goals (esp. loosing last bit of b/f, love handles, final layer of fat covering my abs, etc.).
So here's the new plan. I probably can't get in 3 workouts a week. If I...
The Lord's work comes first, so I completely understand. I just wanted you to know you still have friends here on bb.com that are rooting for you. I'll check back periodically to see how you're doing. Have a great weekend. :) T
Hi Keith, you've been very quiet, and I just wanted to check to see how things are coming along. Hang in there, and don't give up. You can achieve your dreams. :) Miss T
Okie doke...that sounds great. I will have only been training about 3-4 weeks when I get tested, so I'm not expecting too many changes. Just hoping the fat percentage is the same or a tiny bit less. lol Ok, I'll let you know. :) T
Hey Keith! I didn't forget about you sweets. I'll post current "before" photos, and body fat percentage by the first week or two of September. You can check my bodyspace, or visit my new blog(link on profile). The photos on my profile now are 3-4 years old, so we need to see what's really going on. You know what I'm saying. lol Congratulations on the running. Knowing you did it, despite not wanting to has to be a great feeling. Keep up the great work! Miss T
Hey Keith, How have you been? I was thinking about you the other day. I've heard the last few pounds of fat are the most difficult to lose. So don't become discouraged if things move a bit slower. You've got the right attitude. Discipline and patience will get you to the finish line. My fat level is pretty high, so although I use the mirror, it might be 8 weeks before I notice visible changes, so fat testing is a must. Let me know if you decide to get tested. Have a great Thursday. :) T
Woohoo!! Now that's what I'm talking about. Energy is good...throw in a bit of optimism, and it's going on. LOL Keith try to have your body fat tested so you know for sure what's going on. I need to have mine tested by next month as well. I'm not expecting a huge difference, since I just began training, but I'm hoping I haven't gained any fat either(lets keep our fingers crossed). :) I'll keep you updated. Stay in contact with me ok? T
Hi Keith, thank you for adding me as a friend, and congratulations on your accomplishments. You're transitioning into a higher level of fitness, and I can't wait to read about your success. Go for it!!
