When I Started:
Apr, 2007
How I Started:
Went to the doctor and found out I was hypertensive and pre-diabetes. The doctor offered to send me to diabetes class. I said "**** that" and hit the gym that day. I have been going 6 - 7 days a week since
Why I Love It:
I have physically done exercises, cardio, lifts that were beyond what I thought I could ever do. I am amazed at what I can do when I go and I always suprise myself in the gym. Even when I am tired, I go long and lift more than I originally thought I could. I am forging myself into a true brother of iron and steel.
How I Stay Motivated:
I am almost 35 and I can be a sick guy taking medications or I can be the person I always wanted to be but never had the guts or drive to be it.
Also, I watch a Ronnie Coleman video (Relentless or Cost of Redemption) almost everyday. Sometimes, I have the video playing on my computer in the background when I study just to remind me what the "platinum standard" is in bodybuilding both in size and strenght.
I want to lose 120lbs of bodyfat, making my bodyfat percentage into the single digits by June of 2008. Then gain 40 - 50lbs of muscle of the next 1- 2 years with low bodyfat
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 120 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
8%

I wish you much luck with your weight loss and workout regime. I did Atkins for a period and saw a lot of fat drop off so the no carb thing should work for a while but nothing beats lifting in the gym and cardio along with 4 to 6 clean meals a day for overall conditioning.
Take care.
