Dec, 2007
How I Started:
I started working out because I looked at a pic of myself taken xmas 2007 and did not like what I saw. I decided to lose 100 lbs.
Why I Love It:
Right now, I am so new to things that my main motivation is to see the change in myself. That is very motivating. My goals and motivational attitude might change as I progress.
This is day one and was taken this christmas. When I see this, I cringe. I am wearing a size 52 mens shirt. What happened to that nice slender woman I used to be? I WILL lose 100 lbs of fat. I am taking charge of my life again. I know this will be hard and I am afraid of failing but I want to ...

You don’t know how happy I am at hearing you say that you are doing it. I called my wife in to look at your message and she has nothing but warm wishes and encouragement for you. You are doing so well that I am going to leave you with another tidbit: “Create and indelibly stamp in your mind a mental picture of yourself achieving your goal. Hold onto this picture tenaciously. Try never to permit it to fade. Visualize it often. Your mind will seek to develop this picture.”
I wanted to see how you are doing and ask how everything was going? Along with a visit I wanted to offer you a little inspirational phrase that I like by George Lorimer.
"You've got to get up every morning with determination, if you're going to go to bed with satisfaction."
It is fantastic that you are changing your health. We all have had some starting point where we are not happy with ourselves and that's what brings us here. I hope you have some good moral support. Remember the first few weeks are the hardest, stick at it and best wishes, come on here when you need support we are all here to help each other! :)
Congratulations!!
You can do it. I am starting a lean body challenge monday for 12 weeks. Keep involved with this web site and you will keep motivated. Keep your awesome goal in front of you.
You can do it! I have to tell you that I have learned sooo much about the potential we all have (even if sometimes you have to dig down deep :) I am just worried you are going to have to change your profile name to littlewoman pretty soon. I hope that is not taken. :)
I just want to encourage you on your quest. I think you have set a realistic goal in a realistic time frame. It took me six months to lose 46 pounds and I weigh 118 and have for a year.
Congrats on the first nine pounds. Took me two weeks to get to that point. If you ever need a pep talk let me know.
Thank you for your nice comments :) You really boosted my ego lol
I will be 50 in two weeks! We older chicks (you and I) rock you know ;)1 year from now you'll have a half naked pic up as your avatar too hehe
Thank you everyone for the support. I exercised today and am looking for a way to go exercise gymless until I can afford to buy my homegym. I have two hand weights now that are 10 lbs each and I used those today as well. I made a weight chart to keep track of things. I also have cardio tapes. I will do what I have to do to get active until my gym can be bought. Everyones encouragement will probably be the thing that gets me through this next year of transformation.
Sincerely,
Jenn
