I got started my 2nd semester in college. Prior to that I had never lifted a weight in my life. So what motivated me to start lifting weights? Well that's easy... I (for some unknown reason) cannot run. Therefore just about all sports (except golf and bowling) are out of the question for me. Then I discovered weight lifting. Something that I could do even dispite my inability to run. So from that point on I have been a steady lifter.
Why I Love It:
I don't love to lift because it makes me stronger or look better than anyone else. I think the main reason is because it makes me feel like im better than everyone else is because im actually doing something so that im not fat and unhealthy for the rest of my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by thinking about how much better I am than everyone else I know that isn't doing shit about their health or how they look. I think about how I don't want to be like them so I should keep going.
BB Accomplishments:
Unforunately I am not naturally gifted enough to compete. Maybe one day I'll have some if anyone can hook me up with some cheap steroids haha.
What type of nutrition plan are you currently following? Give full details.
Nutrition is my downfall. I don't pay nearly enough attention to nutrition as i should. But i am starting a new diet this week. I'm just going to eat 500 calories 5 times a day. 2 meals are going to be a protein shake with oatmeal and the other 3 are going to be chicken and brown rice. That will put me at 2000 calories.Nutrition is my downfall. I don't pay nearly enough attention to nutrition as i should. But i am starting a new diet this week. Ok, screw this, enough trying to do this like I'm 12 weeks out. I'm not trying to make a "lifestyle change" nor do I care if I lose muscle mass. I'm just trying to get as cut as I can as quick as I can. So I'm just not going to eat anything. I'm gonna drink two shakes after...
i swear man. i was stuck at 10% for a while cus i wouldnt eat more than 1800 calories but as soon as i went up to 2200 i got down to 8% in about 4 weeks
i lose maybe half a pound per week or so, all fat. you should probably try eating a little more. if you dont eat enough, you hit a wall as crazy as that sounds
Thanks for the reply. Your diet seems to be doing O.K. for you. I hope to be posting better results in the next couple of months. Thanks and good luck. . .
Hey Man. Nice abs, and great profile. No nonsense answers, and who likes healthy foods? I am new to the site, but not to the diet. I have been either on or off serious diets for the past ten years. I am trying to learn how to change to a completely healthy lifestyle for long term benefits. I need to learn more about nutrition and exercise, and not just a strict diet that I tire of in a year. I get motivation from profiles like yours....
Thanks
Incredible abs but I do like your reason for why you workout. I think the health aspect is sooooo important. To realize that at your age is vey mature and believe me will probably save you a lot of trouble down the road! Blessings--Reba
Hope the workouts are off to a good start in the new year bro!
