What kind of classes are you taking? I'm surprised that the workouts are basic - well, maybe not that surprised but a little. I hope they are going well in any event.
Hey, good to hear from you! I'm glad you made the team even if red shirted. Gives you another year to train and learn. How do you like the workouts for college ball? Any different than what you were used to? Classes going well?
It just occurred to me that you must be ready to start training for football at your college soon if you haven't already. I hope things went well this summer and good luck!
230 at 6 feet tall should work pretty well for you at fullback I would think. You'll know more when you get to school and start some scrimmages I'm sure. And hey, thanks for the comment on my calf pictures. I'd like to tell you they came from hard work, but my calves seem to grow no matter how much or little I work them. In fact, sometimes I think they are too big and hold off on training for a while! Wish I had that problem with my arms - lol!
Just thought I'd see how things are going for you - I'm guessing your finishing up school now and getting ready for some training this summer. Let me know how you're doing when you have a chance.
I can understand being nervous - it's only natural when taking on a new and challenging task, but I'm sure others have told you it's better to try and fail than to never try at all. Plus, given your size and strength already and that you've got a few more months to train for football season I'm betting that you'll make it onto the team easily! Good luck!
For some reason I thought you were still a junior in high school, sorry! But that's great news that you'll be playing college ball - Division I, II or III? In any case it will be an entirely different level of play that what you're used to but I know you'll be up to the challenge!
As long as what your doing is working for you keep it up. Even without the extra protein I'd expect the powerlifting to really pack on the muscle for you and that appears to be what's happening. You may very well top 250 by the time your season is over as well as be pressing more than 415, of course!
Quite a jump in your weight in a short time - maybe you need to change your screen name to biggerj_09 (haha)! The extra mass should really help with those big lifts - which, of course, will help you put on more mass, and so on...
