Always liked it, but never had anyone to help me go in depth with it until now. It's also human nature to have what we can't. I'll keep trying though no matter what stands in the way.
Now I'm deeply involved in bodybuilding and fitness. I am a sponsor for the INBF & WNBF. I coach LAX, do a lot of personal training, fitness consultations for a nation wide business, and am currently working on a fitness book for individuals with disabilities.
Why I Love It:
Makes me feel stronger. It's a challenge and I can't ever have too many of those.
How I Stay Motivated:
www.wheelchair-bodybuilding.com is a great motivation for me. This site too. And my friend Lee. Plus others in my situation completing their goals.

Regain strength I had before a wound. Gain an inch of muscle by 09-01-09
Goal (Long):
Due to a car wreck I have a sci which is high in my spine. I have to use my neck to generate any kind of movement from my left arm, and very minimal movement from the rest of my body. Originally it was a c2-c3 injury. Since I've aged it has moved. Gaining muscle would allow me to have more control over my life.
Smallest guy here. So goals will be attainable by small slow amounts.
Ask anything, I'll answer.
Oh I have. I've been to 28 gyms so far! But this is the only one where I sat down and talked to the PT manager and he said he'll call me within two weeks for an interview. I hope I got this cause they really need trainers.
Hey, bigfrog! No lie, I was actually thinking of you earlier today! :) Things are going well, the hubby and I are just trying to get my home studio set up in time to start advertising (hopefully!) before February. So much legal stuff... Anyway, how are things going with you? Looking forward to 2009? :D
All of us, at one point or another, reach our goals through small steps--but we still travel as far as we can in the end, either way. Your comments in the PT section are very thought-provoking, bigfrog, especially to a new and inexperienced CFT like me! It'll be nice bumping into you around Bodybuilding.com again soon. :)
