How I Started:
I got up to 330lbs and a friend started working out and lost 75lbs so i started working out with him.
Why I Love It:
I love it because "The iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told that you're a god or a total bastard. The iron will always kick you the real deal. The iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends come and go, but 200 pounds is always 200 pounds."

over the past 8 months since my knee surgery i had managed to gain some muscle aget a little stronger but i have fatter also. about 6 weeks ago i cut out carbs and i managed to loose 11lbs so i am down to 294 and i have been there for about 2weeks without any movement. this week i started...

Run my brother. If you're able and leaning out is the goal jogging worked wonders for me. At my height it was about 12-15 miles a week. Much easier for a big man than it sounds. HITT (sprint intervals) works well too, but running just seems like more fulfilling exercise to me.

Here's the business my man. Cardio on an empty stomach in the AM. If you can't do that, do it AFTER weights. Eat no less than 4 meals every 2-4 hrs. Try to get in 6. Train 1-2 muscle groups for a 4-5 day split. We big man.. no need for extra mass. That about it! Let's hold each other to it!

Man, I hate knee surgery and bad knees. I don't have them. Like I told mdrane, try 45g of fish oil per day for 8 weeks straight and then drop to 10g. It might help. Ha ha, super-athlete ring. Yeah, I'm off active duty at the moment. I have this strange feeling I'm about to come up with a comic book concept though.
